Ducklings - Meet the Teachers Information

Routines Start of the Day- doors will open each day from 8:50.

End of day- doors will open from 3:25. Please collect Ducklings first if you have other children in school.

P.E P.E will take place every Tuesday morning. Children will need to have a fully named P.E kit in school, which is to stay in school for the half term.

On this day please can you make sure hair is tied back and earrings are removed. Thank you.

Reading Books Later this term, children will be given reading books. These will need to be in school each day.

There will not be set days for changing them as they will be changed when your child has had enough time to read and understand them.

Homework Homework will be practical, talk based activities. You will be able to find details of these on our newsletters.

Occasionally the children may be given phonics based activities or topic based homework.

Star of the Week Assembly Star of the Week Assembly will be held on a Friday from 3pm in the school hall. You will receive a text in advance to attend the assembly if your child has been chosen.

In the short term the Ducklings will have their assembly in the classroom.

Snack Time Please note we are a healthy school and need to promote a healthy diet and lifestyle. Therefore we do ask for snacks to be suitable, for example, fruit, vegetables, crackers, rice cakes, cheese and crackers.

We also ask that any drinks brought into school are purely water.

Due to serious allergies of certain children in school, we do ask that nuts are not brought into school for snacks or in packed lunches.

Milk- children are entitled to free school milk until the term AFTER they turn five. You still need to register before this and details can be found at www.coolmilk.co.uk

School Bags It is advisable that each child has a school blue book bag. These bags are easy as names are clearly identifiable and are the correct size. No additional bags need to be brought into school.

If your child needs spare uniform or enjoys learning outside spare uniform can be brought in their blue book bags.

Pencil cases are not needed.

Medicines If your child is on a medicine which needs to be administered in school, please complete the appropriate form at the school office, in order for us to be able to administer it.

Inhalers- if your child needs an inhaler, you will need to fill out an updated form from the school office and will need to have appropriate spacers and inhalers in school at all times.

Outdoor Learning Please provide your child with appropriate outdoor wear for the weather.

Outdoor learning is all year round so please send what the weather requires, for example, wellies, puddle suits, hats and gloves or sun hats and sun cream.
