Friday 17th June 2016 Our News! What a week or two we have had for new babies arriving in the Green Ducklings! Welcome to the world to Jack’s baby brother Jude, Amelie’s baby sister Ella and Hannah’s baby sister Faye! Congratulations to all of the families and we look forward to meeting these Ducklings of the future! After a wet start to the week and Sports Day having to be cancelled we didn’t let this spoil our Healthy Living Week! We loved making healthy fruit smoothies in snack time and were all really good at using our cutting skills to chop up the bananas. We have written healthy shopping lists and designed our own healthy packed lunches and plates of food, sorted healthy and unhealthy foods and read lots of stories about eating healthily. This has prompted the children to try something new at snack time or at lunchtime. Outside we have been very active and enjoyed a day with our scooters, skipping ropes and hula hoops! Look on the photo gallery on the class blog! In mathematics we have been brilliant at sharing, especially sharing the fruit at snack time, but also sharing out the pencils, books and so on. The children have also been very busy making Father’s Day cards and writing all about their wonderful Dads! Look in their bags! We hope you all have a lovely Father’s Day.
STARS OF THE WEEK Archie Baxter for a much improved attitude with his behaviour when learning outdoors and for working hard with his reading and writing.
