RLA Parliament Elections RLA Parliament is a chance for Revoe pupils to have their say about the school. We have our own opinions about how our school can improve and evolve.

To sign up for parliament 2 children from each class had to complete an application form. All other children then voted for their class members to become Member’s of Parliament (MP’s).

The MP’s in year 6 are Danny, Cameron, Jordan and Beth.

Letter to John Blackledge Director of Community Services!

Determining the future of Revoe park.

Year 6 sent letters of ideas to the Director of Community Services on how to improve Revoe Park for the community.

Money is kindly being donated for the project.

The ideas included CCTV, a dog park and a nature area. 

The CCTV would improve security.



A nature area would help the wild life and people so they don’t have to travel miles to see natural environments.



A dog park will help by getting rid of dog foul so people will come without worrying about getting it on their shoes.

Children in Reception and Nursery had the exciting opportunity to learn about chicks.

During the first week of term, an incubator arrived in class with 6 eggs and by day two the first eggs were beginning to hatch.

To look after them, they found out that they need food, water and warmth. When they held the chicks, they had to make sure they were very gentle.

The boy chicks were yellow and the girls, brownie-yellow.

We look forward to hearing what he has to say.

They were very noisy and grew really fast!

By the time they went home after two weeks, they were almost big enough to jump out of their box! On their last day, they came out to play with the children in the sunshine. They wrote about them, drew pictures and made models.

All the children loved taking care of the chicks.

I’m not very fashionable, I don’t really follow music. One of my favourite songs of all time is Peter Gabriel, So album.

What are your hobbies?

All of you are my biggest hobby. I play a bit of golf and taxi my children because they like Performing Art’s.

Tell us about your favourite book?

Mr. Tickle by Roger Hargreaves. It was one of the first books my Mum and Dad ever read to me, so it stuck with me. I also read it to my children.

Have you ever had a nickname?

Ribena Boy after the Ribena character. When I was at Primary School I was very plump, round and short! I was put in goals to fill the goals and I did!

Have you ever had an embarrassing moment?

I cut my tie off when I was teaching Art in my first couple of years teaching. I was meant to be cutting up paper but it went straight through my tie and half my shirt. It made all the Year 4 children laugh!

Have you ever met someone famous?

I’ve been lucky enough to play football with Man United players. I played with Paul Scholes and Norman Whiteside.

Did you ever get sent to the Head Teacher’s room when you were at school?

Yes, on three occasions and twice I was caned, so I was hit with a big stick. That was all at Secondary School, I’m ashamed to say.

If you could be on Britain’s Got Talent, what would your talent be?

Musician, playing the saxophone or puppy trainer as I have a puppy with attitude!

When is your birthday?

22nd May How many candles will you have on your cake this year?

46 Who is your hero and why?

Brian Robson, who played for Manchester United and England. When I was a semi-professional football player with some of the Manchester United team, he was one of the coaches. He then got Cancer, recovered from it and did a lot of work to help others recovering from Cancer.

Ed Sheeran Facts His full name is Edward Christopher Sheeran  Ed was born February 17, 1991 which makes him 24 years old.  He was born in Halifax, England but grew up in Framlingham in Suffolk.  His father is an art curator and lecturer and his mum is a jewellery designer.  He is friends with Harry Styles, from One Direction.

Pirates Antics Year 2 have been learning about Pirates. Pirates were robbers who stole from others at sea. One of the most famous pirates is Blackbeard.

Street Dance On Monday the 8th of June, Revoe Rock Boyz (our Street Dance crew) will be performing at the Tower Ballroom with other dance crews from the Blackpool area. They have been working on their routine since Christmas. Here are some of their moves!

Blackpool Zoo Year 2 have been reflecting on their amazing school trip to Blackpool Zoo. Here is what they had to say.

Year 4 have been learning about castles. There are four main types of castles: Palace; Motte and Bailey; the Stone Keep and Concentric.

Miss Howlett organised an amazing trip to Lancaster Castle which is a Motte and Bailey Castle. It was very fun, especially pretending to be locked up in the old prison cells!
