Please think about baking cakes for the cake stall as we have lost a couple of our main provider this year and are in dire need of bakers to make up the loss.

Summer Draw. The list of prizes is on the narthex notice board. If you are willing to donate one of them, please put your name against which. Tickets now available please take some to buy and some to sell to others.

Can you spare an hour a week or an hour a month to visit a lonely person who doesn’t have visitors? St Joseph’s befriending society which is part of Caritas and has been working in North Manchester Area for over 40 years are in desperate need of people willing to assist their work by visiting someone who is alone. If you are willing and able please let me have your name and telephone number and I will pass them on to Sr. Geraldine.

Fr. John at St. Mary’s Failsworth is keeping his 50th anniversary of priesthood at St. Mary’s Failsworth on Saturday at 3.30pm. Please feel free to attend that Mass if you’d like to

St. Anne’s Book of Remembrance. At the Noon Mass on the first Saturday of each month I shall place “The Book of Remembrance” on the altar and the Mass will be offered for the souls of all those whose names are contained in the book. If you wish the name/s of members of your family recording in the book please complete one of the slips that are available in the Narthex and return it to Fr. Glover with your donation. This will mean that your loved ones will be remembered at Mass each month, in addition to the masses you would normally ask to be offered on their anniversary or in memory of their birthday.

Entered in the book of remembrance under number:Pro Life Challenge. Through their campaign “lives worth Living” the S.P.U.C. is calling for N.H.S. health chiefs to prevent euthanasia in hospitals in England and Wales. New guide lines for caring for terminally ill patients contain dangerous proposals. Please take a leaflet or coopy of the Pro L:ife Times from the narthex to learn more. Josie Nickson is asking whether you are willing to sponsor a team of young people who, on 18th June will climb the 4 peaks in the Lake District to raise funds supporting this campaign and other pro-life work. Sponsor forms are in the narthex.

Sacramental Programme 2016/17 will start after the summer holidays. If you have a child who is entering year 3 in September but who attends a state (community) school and would like your child prepared for 1st Confession and 1st Holy Communion, please speak with Fr. Glover.

If you are an adult who has never been baptised or has been baptised in a non catholic community but would like to consider becoming a member of the Catholic Church then please speak with Fr. Glover.

Going into hospital? Don’t forget to inform Fr. Glover on 740 2448 who will advise the Catholic Chaplain or call the chaplain Fr. Matus on 834 4104.

Places in our school. It is essential that any catholic parent who wishes their child to have a place at our school registers them as soon as possible. PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOUR CHILD IS READY TO GO TO SCHOOL as you may find a place isn’t available. If you haven’t registered your child even if a place is available your child’s name and offer of a place will not have been passed to the local education authority by the school and subsequently a place at a non catholic school may well be offered.

Prayer Group No meeting this week.

Divine Mercy Prayer Group meets in church every third Sunday of the month 3.00pm until 4.00pm.

Copper Jar. There is a jar next to Francis in the Narthex at St Anne’s Church. We are collecting 1p, 2p and 5p pieces should you have any spare to place in it.
