School will be attending Mass on Tuesday and Sr. Marie from Cornerstones will be coming to receive the monies the children gave from their pocket monies to fulfil the act of mercy “Feed the hungry”.

On Thursday school will be having a full day street party to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday.

Hopefully the weather will be nice to allow most of the events to take place outside.

School closes for half term on Friday and will re-open on Monday 13th June.

Summer Fayre Saturday 2nd July 2.00pm. Please start bringing to church items to stock the stalls. Bric a Brac, Toiletries, Tinned and Dried food produce, Books, Bottles, Toys, Tombola prizes. Please think about baking cakes for the cake stall as we have lost a couple of our main provider this year and are in dire need of bakers to make up the loss.

Summer Draw. The list of prizes is on the narthex notice board. If you are willing to donate one of them, please put your name against which.

St. Anne’s Book of Remembrance. At the Noon Mass on the first Saturday of each month I shall place “The Book of Remembrance” on the altar and the Mass will be offered for the souls of all those whose names are contained in the book. If you wish the name/s of members of your family recording in the book please complete one of the slips that are available in the Narthex and return it to Fr. Glover with your donation. This will mean that your loved ones will be remembered at Mass each month, in addition to the masses you would normally ask to be offered on their anniversary or in memory of their birthday.

Sacramental Programme 2016/17 will start after the summer holidays. If you have a child who is entering year 3 in September but who attends a state (community) school and would like your child prepared for 1st Confession and 1st Holy Communion, please speak with Fr. Glover.

If you are an adult who has never been baptised or has been baptised in a non catholic community but would like to consider becoming a member of the Catholic Church then please speak with Fr. Glover.

Going into hospital? Don’t forget to inform Fr. Glover on 740 2448 who will advise the Catholic Chaplain or call the chaplain Fr. Matus on 834 4104.

Places in our school. It is essential that any catholic parent who wishes their child to have a place at our school registers them as soon as possible. PLEASE DO NOT WAIT UNTIL YOUR CHILD IS READY TO GO TO SCHOOL as you may find a place isn’t available. If you haven’t registered your child even if a place is available your child’s name and offer of a place will not have been passed to the local education authority by the school and subsequently a place at a non catholic school may well be offered.

Prayer Group Monday 8.00pm until 8.30pm Divine Mercy Prayer Group meets in church every third Sunday of the month 3.00pm until 4.00pm.

Copper Jar. There is a jar next to Francis in the Narthex at St Anne’s Church. We are collecting 1p, 2p and 5p pieces should you have any spare to place in it.
