You are invited to our Gardening and Mini-Beast Open Afternoon Friday 27th May from 2pm With the Ducklings and Little Chicks

Make a sock caterpillar Decorate a ladybird or beetle biscuit

Create a fruit caterpillar kebab

Help to make a bug hotel

Build a scarecrow for our vegetable patch

Make wellington boot planters and help to plant our bug garden

As part of Carleton in Bloom we are having our own little competition within school. In Ducklings and Little Chicks we want to create a colourful garden that will attract lots of mini-beasts. We would also love it if our garden was the best too and win!!

Please could we ask for your support with this and ask for any donations of colourful bedding plants, perennials and/or small shrubs, (these could be cuttings from your own gardens.)

Please send these in either leading up to the open afternoon or bring them in on the day.

To help with our open afternoon, please could you start to collect and send in any of the following‌ old socks and tights plastic bottle any old wellington boots (even if odd!) garden canes natural items for our bug hotels, such as fir cones, sticks, bamboo, stones and so on!

We hope to see you at the open afternoon! Bring your gardening gloves and a trowel if you have them!
