19th January 2016 Dear Parents Website Launch: Parents are invited to the launch of the new website and to download the School App at 3.30pm and 4.30pm on Friday 22nd January.

Absence: If your child is unwell and not able to attend school, please ensure we are notified of the illness by 9.30am.

SATS Information Evenings: Parents of children in Year 2 are invited to a SATS information evening and workshop on Monday 25th January, 5pm – 6pm.

Parents of children in Year 6 in Year 6 are invited to a SATS information evening and workshop on Tuesday 26th January, 5pm – 6pm.

Parents Evenings: We will be holding Parents Evenings this term on Tuesday 9th February, 3.45pm – 6.30pm and Wednesday 10th February, 3.45pm – 5.30pm. Parents will have an opportunity to make an appointment to meet your child’s teacher and discuss your child’s progress and targets. More information and a booking form to make an appointment will follow later. When requesting an appointment it would be appreciated if 2 or 3 time options could be indicated.

Class Photographs: Your child has will bring home a proof copy of the class photograph which was taken recently. If you would like to order a copy, please place orders by Wednesday 27th January. Cheques payable to ‘Tempest Photography’ Life Education Mobile: This will be visiting school on Tuesday 2nd, Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th February. Each class will visit the bus during the week. The children will bring home a separate leaflet about the Life Education sessions. There will be a session for parents on Wednesday 3rd February at 2.55pm.

Ash Wednesday Service: Parents and grandparents are invited to join us for the Ash Wednesday Service on Wednesday 10th February at 9.15am in the School Hall.

Be Creative Week: Week beginning 8th February. More details will follow about the various activities and events during the week.

We would be grateful for a contribution of £1 per child towards expenses during this week with the balance being found by school.

Collecting Children: Thank you to the majority of parents who park on Norfolk Road when collecting children from after school activities. May we please ask the few who continue to drive into the car park to also park on nearby roads. Thank you.

Building Fund: Thank you for the voluntary contributions received so far towards the school building fund. We would be grateful if those parents who are still intending to contribute could do so before half-term. Contributions to the Building Fund enabled us to carry out the recent work to upgrade the toilets and create a learning resource area in Key Stage 2.

Winmarleigh Hall: A reminder to the parents of children in Year 6 that the next payment is due on or before Monday 1st February and payment is to be completed by March.

Please check at the office if you are uncertain how much you have yet to pay.

Valentines Ball: Saturday 13th February at The Clifton Arms Hotel with Switched On Swing big band in aid of Club Day. Tickets £45 per person. Please call 07760290578 for tickets.

St Joseph’s Burns Night: This is a family event on Friday 29th January at 7pm. Tickets are £6 for adults and £3 for children available from St Josephs.
