Catering tender details of academies

You have been invited to tender and submit proposals to provide the catering services for three Academies within the Blackpool Multi Academy Trust (Anchorsholme Academy, Park Community Academy and Revoe Learning Academy).

All school leaders within the Trust are passionate about raising standards and giving children the very best start in life. We want our pupils to enjoy their experience with us and leave school as confident, independent, enthusiastic and ambitious learners.

The Blackpool Multi Academy Trust was born out of a partnership between three foundation Academies ( Anchorsholme, Park and Devonshire) with a drive and enthusiasm to support others Academies.. Revoe Learning Academy is the first academy we have been asked to support. We pool our considerable expertise and some of our resources to help each other run more efficiently, effectively and raise standards more rapidly, whilst reducing the risk factors affecting our Academies.

Anchorsholme Academy (East Pines Drive, Thornton Cleveleys, FY5 3RX) is a 3 form entry Primary School for children aged between 4 and 11 years currently with 614 pupils on roll.

We are situated in the Northern tip of the Blackpool conurbation. A well equipped kitchen with fixed servery into dining hall is used for all pupils. We are passionate about making the best use of family service to ensure that the dining experience is a truly “family” experience.

The school is currently rated Good at its last Ofsted inspection in 2016.

Park Community Academy (Whitegate Drive, Blackpool, FY3 9HF) is a Special School for children aged 2 – 19 and there are currently 204 children on roll. This will rise to 234 in September 2016.

Lunch is prepared and served on site from the school kitchen. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a fixed server into the main hall which is used for the majority of our pupils.

The Sixth Form are based in Westbury Sixth Form Centre and food will need to be transported to that separate building which is situated directly in front of the main school building.

We also promote a family service environment and the staff sit with our children to model good manners and to assist the children with their lunch.

PCA is currently rated Outstanding at its last Ofsted inspection in May 2015.

Revoe Learning Academy (Grasmere Road, Blackpool, FY1 5HP) is a 2 form entry Primary School with a Children’s Centre for children aged 2 – 11 years. There are currently 468 pupils on roll. The Academy is situated in Central Blackpool. A well equipped kitchen with a fixed servery into the dining hall is used for all pupils. In addition a mobile

servery facilitates our older children. A self-service, staggered lunchtime is in operation over approximately 1.5 hours to promote choice and independence.

Our vision is for lunchtime to become more of a learning experience for the children and their families.

The Academy is sponsored by Blackpool Multi Academy Trust and is awaiting its first Ofsted rating since opening as an Academy in April 2014.
