John 2:1-11 Next week we will share the story of the Wedding at Cana and talk about occasions of joy that we have celebrated.
School Uniform Thank you for your input into the recent uniform consultation. The uniform will change from September – further details will be sent home next week.
A reminder that children should enter and leave school from the East Road entrance (the playground). This includes club days.
PTA Thank you to the parents who attended the AGM and those that sent their apologies – your support is invaluable. Two further events have been planned: Sunday 20th March – Following Palm Sunday mass, there will be an egg hunt and raffle in the school grounds. Thursday 26th May – School Disco Further details closer to the time. If you were unable to attend the meeting, please become ‘friends’ with us on Facebook where we will add any updates.
Contacting us If you wish to discuss anything with your child’s teacher but do not drop off / pick up due to work commitments, you can email the teacher concerned to ask a question / book an appointment. All email addresses are on the school website under ‘Our School’.
Lent / Easter As in previous years, we will be acknowledging the importance of Lent and Easter as a school. On Ash Wednesday, Key Stage Two will receive ashes from Bishop Michael with the parish at 12.15 in the Cathedral. Please join us if you can. On Fridays during Lent, Key Stage Two will have the option of attending parish mass at 12.15. On Palm Sunday (20th March), we will join the parish for 10.30 mass and be involved in the Gospel reading. Children do not have to wear their school uniform for the mass. Following mass, the PTA will be holding an Easter event in the school grounds. On the last day of term, Wednesday 23rd March, Years 3 & 4 will lead the whole school in an Easter Reflection in the Cathedral from 2pm. Please join us if you are able to.
Volunteers We are looking for parent volunteers to come into school and help out. This may involve helping children to complete their work or listening to the children read. The teachers and teaching assistants work very hard and your help would be gratefully received. If this is something you would like to do please come and see Miss Abbott in the school office.
