KS4&5 Business Trip

On the 9th of February, Business students visited 3 chocolate factories to learn how the

Valentine’s Day

On Valentine's day, SBS dressed up in red, wrote and exchanged letters to show their appreciation of relationships!

KS3 Cartagena Trip

For the 16th of February, KS3 embarked on a trip to visit Cartagena and its museums.

There, they visited a Roman theatre and a marine technology museum.

Year 11 and KS5 UCAM Trip

On the same day, the rest of Secondary students went on a university trip to Murcia for their careers.

Year 11 Geography Trip

Year 11 Geography students completed the Urban Environments fieldwork trip.

They investigated the impact that the regeneration of the Mediterranean Avenue (Benidorm) had on local businesses and tourism.

No, he worked a lot.

We like to go to car competitions together.

Theyareverytasty.Andlastly,my favouriteistheirartichokes.Theyareso tastyandperfectwithsomesaltontop.I reallylovethisrestaurantandIthinkthat youshouldtryit,evenifyoudon’tlike wine.Theirfoodisalsoamazingandthere issomethingforeveryone.

Ribeye steak recipe:

INGREDIENTS:

● 2 (1 1/4-pound) bone-in rib eye steaks

● Kosher salt

● Freshly-ground black pepper

● 2 tablespoons canola oil

● 4 tablespoons unsalted butter

● 4 thyme sprigs

● 3 garlic cloves

● 1 rosemary sprig

STEPS:

1. Season the rib eye steaks all over with salt and freshly ground pepper. Let the meat stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.

2. In a large cast-iron skillet, heat the canola oil until shimmering. Add the steaks and cook over high heat until crusty on the bottom, for about 5 minutes.

3. Turn the steaks and add the butter, thyme, garlic, and rosemary to the skillet. Cook over high heat, basting the steaks with the melted butter, garlic, and herbs, until the steaks are medium-rare, 5 to 7 minutes longer.

4. Transfer the steaks to a cutting board and let them rest for 10 minutes. Cut the steaks off the bone, then slice the meat across the grain and serve.

Music Review!

What a wonderful world - Louis Armstrong

Helmed by legendary producer Bob Thiele, this 1968 recording ushered Louis Armstrong into his later days as a pop vocalist. Here, the trumpet that drove Armstrong's early Hot Fives and Sevens is more subdued as his familiar gravelly voice takes center stage. Showcasing the powerful title track as well as several cheery pop favourites, Armstrong's prowess as an interpreter of song is unmistakable during these recordings

Father to son - Queen

Written by Brian for the Queen II album, Father to Son is a heavy rocker with sentimental lyrics. Speaking on Father to Son in a BBC Radio One interview, Brian says: "...We wanted to make a kind of rock music that still had the power of, like, The Who or Led Zeppelin but which had more melody, more harmony, and more texture than had been done before. That was one of the first songs we did it on and there's lots of harmonies, lots of guitar harmonies and lots of bits of melody, you know."
