Mission Statement

To alleviate food insecurity in Christian County by providing food, resources and education to address the challenges of our neighbors in need.

Service Area

Christian County, Missouri Serving 2,500 food insecure individuals a month.

Funding

Least Of These, Inc., relies on monetary donations from individuals, businesses, churches, civic organizations and foundation grants within our community. With your donation, we are able to purchase $10 worth of food for every dollar that is donated. By stretching your dollar, monetary donations to the pantry go much further to support those in need.

12 Month Goals

Provide supplemental food to help our clients move from food insecurity to food stability. Give approximately 50 meals a month per family. Offer and encourage our clients to consume healthy food options such as, proteins, dairy items, fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as whole grains. Affirm the dignity of the individuals we serve by supplying personal care and hygiene items for their greater health and well-being. Equip our clients with the tools to navigate towards selfsufficiency and a brighter future.

How People and Businesses Can Help

Volunteer Opportunities: Least Of These is always looking for great volunteers who want to serve their community. Volunteers are needed to help with food distributions on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, as well as the third Thursday evening of the month. Other opportunities include, helping to receive food shipments weekly or special events. If you are 18 years old or older and are interested in volunteering with us, please contact David Pearson, at david.pearson@leastofthesefoodpantry.org or visit our website at leastofthesefoodpantry.org. Donate: In Christian County alone, 11.5% of the residents are food insecure. Monthly, over 900 Christian County families (2,500 individuals) visit Least Of These for food assistance. Monetary donations are best received because we are able to stretch your dollar donated into ten dollars’ worth of food. Financial donations also qualify you to receive Missouri Food Pantry Tax Credits. However, we do accept food donations on Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:00 AM to Noon at Least Of These.
