Mission Statement

Ozarks Water Watch is dedicated to maintaining and improving the water quality of the Upper White River Basin. The watershed includes four major impoundments, three major rivers and numerous smaller lakes and streams crisscrossing over 14,000 square miles in 19 counties in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas.

Service Area

The Upper White River Basin watershed, including four major impoundments, three major rivers, numerous smaller lakes, and streams covering over 14,000 square miles in 19 counties in southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas.

Funding

Corporate sponsorships, in-kind donations, charitable fundraisers, activities, and events such as the Shoreline Cleanups and our annual Charity Golf Classic with the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.

12 Month Goals

1. Protect and improve overall water quality in the Ozarks. 2. Educate and inform the public about water quality and protection. 3. Coordinate volunteer programs and monitoring networks for streams and lakes. 4. Promote better decentralized wastewater treatments. 5. Coordinate public education, activities and action projects. 6. Participate in the policy or rule-making process with local, state and federal agencies.
