Mission Statement

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of our most vulnerable neighbors by doing together what can best be done together in the name of Jesus Christ.
Service Area
With wrap-a-round support services available through nine outreach programs, the Council meets community needs affecting infant to elder. As an extension of churches from a variety of denominations and backgrounds, CCO has been inspiring hope for families, children, seniors and adults for more than 50 years.
Funding
We are funded through church and community partnerships, individual and corporate donors, and through federal, state and local grants.
12 Month Goals
• Simplify - Our message, our systems and our structure • Unify - Our member congregations, our team and our outreach efforts • Advance - Move boldly to increase our footprint, our available resources and our impact
How People and Businesses Can Help
SERVE - Gifts of time are sometimes the hardest to make. At the Council we have volunteer needs for every interest and ability. We truly are #bettertogether. SHARE - After more than fifty years working in southwest Missouri, we are still a best kept secret! Introduce us to your circles and like, click and share on social media. Help us tell our story! SUPPORT - Our work is only made possible through the support of churches, companies, foundations and individuals like you. Thanks for all you do!
Testimonials
“I’ve been volunteering to serve at Crosslines for #DayofCaring for a few years now. It gets me out of the office for a few hours, into the community, and involved with an organization that is impacting people’s lives. Couldn’t be a better cause than this!” - Council of Churches Volunteer
“Council of Churches is an excellent way to support your community and provide for children and adults in the Ozarks!” - Linda Merkling, General Manager ProSource Wholesale
