Mission Statement

The Mission of the CoxHealth Foundation is to facilitate through philanthropy the quality healthcare, education and research provided by CoxHealth.
Service Area
The CoxHealth Foundation serves all patients cared for within the CoxHealth system in a 25 county southwest Missouri and northwest Arkansas region.
Funding
The CoxHealth Foundation receives its funding from those impacted by the quality care provided by CoxHealth. This includes individuals, corporations, foundations, grateful patients, grant funders, participants in special events and anyone interested in furthering the cause of quality healthcare through CoxHealth. Funding sources include grants, honorariums, memorials and estate gifts, as well as direct donations to service lines including cancer, stroke, heart disease, senior health and others, and other donations directed to specific causes or fundraising campaigns.
12 Month Goals
In the last 12 months our goal has been to be present and available for our patients, our staff and our community. The CoxHealth Foundation continues to focus its efforts on supporting the needs of our health system and those it serves as COVID-19 rages on in our region. In the immediate future, the Foundation is seeking ongoing support for the daily needs of staff, patients and visitors; whether it be donated PPE, snacks or meals for staff who are unable to leave their patients’ sides or finding funding to cover the cost of dozens of rented ventilators to have the equipment at the ready. The Foundation team is working to match the kindness of donors to the immediate and urgent needs unforeseen prior to the virus. In addition to being COVID-19 prepared, the CoxHealth Foundation continues to work to grow its 31 Patient Service Funds to ensure the ability to provide a helping hand up to patients in every area of the health system. It is these funds like the Cancer Services Fund, Heart Fund, Stroke Fund, ALS Fund and the remaining 26, that are unique in their ability to provide resources that patients are not able to find anywhere else in our community. The CoxHealth Foundation will continue to ask our community what we can do to improve your health and seek funding to support the answer.
Annual Events
• Top to Bottom Golf Tournament – September 20, 2021 • Wrap It Up Raffle – December 2, 2021
How People and Businesses Can Help
The community can provide immediate help by getting a vaccination against COVID-19. If we can slow the spread of the virus, CoxHealth and hospitals across the country will have hope for a return to normal someday in the future. Today, CoxHealth continues to need financial support to recover from the financial devastation of the pandemic. Hospitals like CoxHealth are paying 10 to 15 times the normal cost of supplies, PPE, required safety devices and fees for traveling nurses, therapists and other required healthcare providers to fill the staffing requirements dictated by the severity of the virus. You can make a donation to any of the Foundation’s 31 Patient Service Funds or the COVID-19 Recovery Fund at www.coxhealthfoundation.com.
Testimonials
“...the CoxHealth Foundation helped me at my lowest point. I’m a single mom with breast cancer and they made it possible for me to finish my chemo and have the anti-nausea medications I could not afford. Bless you all.” Tammy R., Highlandville
“Thank you to all the great people of the Ozarks who sent us snacks, meals, prayers and even comfy socks during the early stages of the pandemic. As a nurse on the COVID floor, I couldn’t leave my patients, so a quick snack kept me fueled for what came next. I also knew that people were thinking of me and that kept me going at some of the lowest points in this battle with this horror called COVID-19. Thank you for caring about our team here at CoxHealth.” Karen L., CoxHealth BSN
“I am a grateful daughter of a strong willed 88-yearold momma. She is of great mind but weakening body. Thanks for the Lifeline monitor grant you gave her. It has allowed her to be independent and stay in her home, saving us and her from financial devastation. We know if she needs help it’s a button push away. Thank you, Foundation team, you are all amazing!” Ellen R., Springfield

WHEN YOU GIVE, YOU’RE TOUCHING MORE THAN ONE LIFE.
Your donations help about 5,000 neighbors every year. This year, we’re focused on recovery for families affected by COVID-19, helping them get back to the doctor and receive care for conditions left untreated during the pandemic.
Who We Help
Every donation stays in the Ozarks, creating new opportunities, opening doors for families and strengthening our community. They help lower the risk of poverty, create local jobs, make education possible and more. In fact, studies show that every dollar donated to groups like Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at CoxHealth and the CoxHealth Foundation make $3 of difference in the community.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
Your gift helps provide life-saving equipment, education, financial assistance to families with a child who’s been hospitalized or needs therapy, and funding for medical needs not covered by insurance or Medicaid. They also finance health screenings and immunizations through our mobile health clinic, the CARE Mobile, for kids with limited care access.
CoxHealth Foundation
With 31 patient service funds, countless scholarships, an employee crisis fund and more, the reach of your gift is limitless. We exist to meet the needs of the medically underserved. Your contributions financially support medical costs, community health programs and health profession scholarships. They also help ensure the best technology and facilities are available in our region.
