Imagine a place where mist holds unknown secrets. Imagine a place where trees salute anyone daring to enter. Imagine a place where tree roots gnash at your toes. Row upon row of regimentally stacked trees like ghosts. Such a place exists: The Forbidden Forest.
As Harry ventured into the vast undergrowth of the forest, his blood curdled, his heart skipped a beat and his ears rang with fear. He could feel and smell the rank, dreadful, dismal stench of the frightening forest wasteland around him as it invaded his senses. Harry was petrified! Petrified that he would never live a full life but die a slow painful, dreadful end! Harry could feel something was wrong and was going to find out…

The Boeing 747 is a large, wide-body (two-aisle) airliner with four wingmounted engines Its wings have a high sweep angle of 37.5° for a fast, efficient cruise speed of Mach 0.84 to 0.88, depending on the variant. The sweep also reduces the wingspan, allowing the 747 to use existing hangars.
Sr-71 is the fastest plane ever travelling over the speed of sound. Once it reached mach. 10!
At the southern end of Diagon Alley, nestled between Flourish and Blotts and Quality Quidditch Supplies, is an astonishing shop called Eeylopes Owl Emporium. The only place in the market for valid owls, for it sells all kinds of owls: Tawny, Barn, beautiful luscious snow-white, ear-splitting Screech owls and plain Brown. Tawny owls litter the façade like rubbish in a tip, yet the cages keep the owls trapped like inmates of Azkaban. If you peer through the musty, mysterious windows, you can see price tags with complex scientific names etched on them. (This is definitely a Christmas article, yes definitely and a super sample of year 6 writing! I hope you enjoyed it! Can you spot the prisoner simile?)

Sarisbury Sparks is the football team I play for. Our side has changed over the years and now we’re the U11’s. We’ve gone through good times and not so good times. Our most recent success, was our 8-3 win vs Cowplain. We also had success in a tournament beating the Sarisbury Sparks White on penalties! They have a better squad than us and they are in the top league but because of my team’s teamwork and encouragement we won. Even though we beat the other Sparks team we still are quite friendly with them.
Sparks began in the year 1969. Our team is made up of friendship, encouragement and footy loving people. One week we lost 7-2 and we were still happy with the result because of our great play and teamwork. We don’t play competitively until U12’s but some teams play like it. Our team just plays for fun and that is how it is meant to be.
Training is on Tuesdays at Coal Park Lane 7-8pm. See Coach Peter Westerman for more details! I hope I’ve encouraged you to join this spectacular football team.

2. Roughly chop the walnuts and figs then add to a food processor along with the sour cherries, the cranberries and half the pumpkin seeds. “Open!” commanded Professor McGonagall firmly.
As if it were magic (it was!) the great, polished, oak door hinges, creaked and then opened. Craning their necks, all new students stood in awe: in awe of the size, in awe of the amount of pupils and in awe of the roof. All in awe, except Draco – of course who complained,”This is miniature, tiny, microscopic! I should have been sent to Mollerys. Their hall is huge compared to this tiny place!”
“This ishuge!” gasped Ron, contrary to Malfoy’s opinion. by Emily Hounsome Can you spot the use of repetition for effect?

Harry sat all alone near the river. He had no one to take to the Hogwarts Prom which was in 2 days. The prom was called the Yule Ball. It was nearing Christmas Eve which is when the Yule Ball happens. Ron had picked Hermione for the Yule Ball.
“It is fine not to have someone, there is the Mistletoe game when two people have to kiss each other under the mistletoe!” Ron said carefully. Dean walked across with his hood up. Draco was close behind him. Draco was going to ask Pansy Parkinson out. Harry was a bit angered about the fact he had to do his actual year 7, instead of banning the Dursleys from his house.
In the school, Draco had been turned into a ferret again! This was by Hermione herself!
“H-hello?” Ron exclaimed.
“Hiss, Hiss.” Draco the ferret hissed. Professor Snape turned Draco back into a boy. Pansy continued to giggle about Draco the ferret who was no more.
Everyone had to go to the Great Hall but Harry just went outside to eat a sandwich. After he ate it, he was pushed into the black lake! This reminded him of his year 4 when he was in the Triwizard Cup. The people who pushed him in were Draco and Pansy! Harry had to survive a long, dark night in the black lake!
He couldn’t go to sleep but it was a good job Pansy had decided to give him a snorkel (for the funniness according to her!) He didn’t know Pansy and Draco were spying, watching every move he madewith waterproof cameras. In the lake, he found out that Dean couldn’t come to the Yule Ball because of his detention. And also, that the Yule Ball had moved to tomorrow! He had to get out of the black lake now…
After his reckless night, Harry had to get ready for the Yule Ball. Poor Ron had to wear rags again! Harry actually had a suit. “Why me?” Ron asked. They decided to run to the Yule Ball because it had already started! They made it just in time for the dance.
“Finally, you came.” Hermione said. They danced the night away while poor Harry sat alone. Suddenly, he saw something which was for him – it was a mystery box. He opened up the box… someone had sent him a wedding ring! The mistletoe game had begun. He heard that Draco, Ron, Hermione and Pansy had been called to kiss under the mistletoe.
“Alright, next is Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley!” the caller shouted. Harry came up with Ginny. “Harry, I was the one who sent you the ring.” Ginny whispered nervously. After Harry said I do, they kissed under the mistletoe!

The Aston Martin Logo Has Changed Many Times. The Aston Martin logo is instantly recognizable, but this specific design has been around for less than two decades. The Aston Martin logo has also gone through 10 versions over the years.
The original version of the Aston Martin logo was made in 1920. This consisted of a capital A and a capital M interlocking within a circle. A variant of this logo was then introduced in 1927. The new logo now featured the Aston Martin name on a pair of wings. Many people mistakenly thought that these were the wings of a bird. On the contrary, they were the wings of the scarab beetle.
S.C.H Davis, the racing driver, was responsible for the logo's redesign, he was a keen Egyptologist. Ancient Egyptians revered the scarab beetle as an extension of the sun god.Others believe that the wings concept was simply borrowed from the logo of the Bentley cars.
The present emblem has existed since 2003. It consists of a green rectangle on top of the white wings, sporting the company's name in uppercase characters.
This symbol that people now recognize and associate with the luxury car brand.

Football is played by many people across the world. No one knows exactly when football was created, but the earliest versions of the game can be traced back 3,000 years ago. Did you know the earliest football matches were played with pig’s bladders!?
Football is the most popular game in the world! You have to score by using your foot. (You are not allowed to use your hands in football – that would be handball!).
