Welcome to Chesterfield Theatres We would like to welcome you to Chesterfield Theatres – and the new autumn programme for the Pomegranate Theatre and Winding Wheel Theatre.

At the Pomegranate Theatre, highlights include the return of the hit West End musical Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story, and the world’s longest running play The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie. Don’t miss Dangerous Obsession the psychological thriller

by N.J. Crisp, and direct from London the hilarious production of Nigel Slater’s Toast.

We are also pleased to present the John Godber Company in Gym & Tonic, Russian National Ballet in The Nutcracker, and appearances by Ruby Wax, Jack Dee, and John Challis.

We are also delighted to announce additional cinema screenings at the Pomegranate Theatre, with newly – released films, and satellite broadcasts of performances and events, including from the Royal Ballet and the Royal Opera, NT Live, and many others.

At the Winding Wheel Theatre, highlights of the programme include appearances from Jimmy Carr, Ben Elton, and Thunder. We are delighted to welcome Su Pollard in the hilarious musical Hot Flush.

Looking further ahead to spring 2020, we will be presenting a special spring play season at the Pomegranate Theatre which will feature four fantastic plays: the thriller Wait Until Dark, Alan Ayckbourn’s classic comedy Time and Time Again, the West End hit comedy The 39 Steps, and the heart-warming It’s a Wonderful Life.

commitment in Africa. Amid a series of events bordering on farce, Garry has to deal with women who want to seduce him, placate both his long-suffering secretary and his estranged wife, cope with a crazed young playwright, and overcome his impending mid-life crisis.

Noel Coward played the lead role of Garry when the play premiered in 1942 and it remains one of his best-loved comedies, most recently revived on Broadway with Kevin Kline.

All ticket prices for professional productions include a £1.50 compulsory Theatre Restoration Levy per ticket.

Postage for tickets will be charged at £1 for up to 9 tickets and £2 for 10+ tickets.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and regardless of age, must have a ticket.

Babies up to one year old are free of charge.

Family tickets are valid for 2 adults and 2 children unless specified otherwise.

Special offers and discounts apply to full price tickets only, except where indicated, and are subject to availability. Please note any offer or discount may only be used once per person, per performance, and not in conjunction with any other discount, offer or concession and are not valid on any tickets already purchased.

Chesterfield Theatres reserves the right to introduce or withdraw prices or discounts without notice. Please note some offers may only be available online.

Reservations are available for groups and schools of 20+, and for Friends of the Pomegranate Theatre members only. Friends reservations must be paid for 28 days before the event date. Group and school payment dates are show specific.

Locations & Getting Here Important information for visitors to Chesterfield Theatres All customers must have a valid ticket which will be checked at the door.

Please have your ticket ready for inspection. Only customers with tickets will be allowed in the venue, and if you leave the venue for any reason, you will need to show your ticket to gain re-admission. Please keep the items you bring with you to an absolute minimum.

Chesterfield Theatres reserves the right to refuse entry if you are carrying food or beverages, conduct security searches, refuse to serve you alcohol if we believe you are intoxicated or likely to become intoxicated, limit the number of drinks served in a round to any customer, provide alternative seats to those specified on the ticket, admit latecomers at the first suitable break, make necessary changes to the advertised programme without prior notice, request a customer to leave the venue and take action to enforce this right.

Cancellations and refunds for tickets are not possible except in the event of cancellation by the venue.

Exchanges can only be offered if tickets are returned to the Box Office at least 24 hours prior to the performance, and are subject to a charge of £1.80 per ticket. Tickets can only be exchanged for an alternative performance of the same production.

Tickets are non-transferable and must not be resold by the customer.

Agents and Hirers Queries regarding tickets purchased from ticket agents or from hirers must be directed back to the relevant agent.

A Duty Manager is available before and during events to assist with any queries you may have during your visit.

By Car Chesterfield is just 10 minutes from junction 29 of the M1 motorway via the A617. From all routes follow signs to Chesterfield Town Centre.

The Winding Wheel Theatre, Pomegranate Theatre, Assembly Rooms and Box Office are located in close proximity to the ‘Crooked Spire Church’. Car parks are well signposted.

Parking There are a number of large car parks close to the Winding Wheel Theatre, Pomegranate Theatre, Assembly Rooms and Box Office.

Hasland Village Hall has an on-site car park but spaces are limited.

By Bus The Winding Wheel Theatre, Pomegranate Theatre, Assembly Rooms and Box Office are within easy walking distance of all town centre bus stops.

By Train Exit Chesterfield Station bearing left, cross the footbridge to Corporation Street; the Pomegranate Theatre is situated on your left and the Winding Wheel Theatre is 100 metres further on your right. Here you will see the fingerposts signposting you to the Tourist Information Centre, where you will find the Box Office.

The Market Hall is also signposted from here.
