Scholarships Help Preserve Fine Arts in Oklahoma

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (July 23, 2018) – Hundreds of Oklahoma City metro families find relief in enrolling their children into The Lyric Theatre Academy thanks to scholarships totaling $100,000 to assist nearly 250 students for the year. “It’s exciting to see so many students enrolling in our programs thanks to the many donations and scholarships,” said Darrell Adams, Founder and Executive Director, Lyric Theatre Academy. “The funds help us provide a safe and fun place to learn about fine arts.” Oklahoma Donors such as the Oklahoma Scholarship Fund (OSF) presented seven significant scholarship checks to the Lyric Theatre Academy for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Lyric Theatre Academy offers classes for theater production, contemporary dance and ballet, and vocal performance. The Academy broke ground for their new state of the art facility in January. Donors across the state have helped the Academy serve over 10,000 students since their founding in 1977. More information is available at (405) 779-1234. ###
