Moving their family into the community in 1996 and their agency to Santee in 2002, Mike and Marla Clinkenbeard have sat in their current location on Town Center Parkway since 2011. One of the most inspiring aspects of the Clinkenbeard’s Insurance Agency is their dedication to community initiatives. Their family has been incredibly involved in youth sports, the Santee School District Foundation, the March of Dimes and especially, the Santee Chamber of Commerce. Their family, life and business is truly focused in Santee, making this city more than just their home and their contributions are ingrained in the town's narrative.

The husband and wife team also had some key involvement from their kids-turnedstaff. Daughter Madeline is their current Agency Manager, their son Adam has taken over an agency in La Mesa after 7 years in their Santee office, and long-time employee Nicki has been like a bonus family member to their staff. The agency's success isn't solely measured in profits; it's gauged by the positive impact their entire team creates in the lives of those they serve. As Mike has said, “Moving to Santee was one of the best things we ever did for our family and for our business. This is a tremendous community for raising kids and making friends. There’s so much to do or you can just relax at one of the many parks or Santee Lakes. From the point of view of our business, the people of Santee have a lot of pride in their community and in their homes and businesses.
