Yr5 Dog Lover’s Club
We have a wonderful group of Year 5 students who have been working with Arlo, our school wellbeing dog, to teach him a new trick (how to walk through a hoop), learn what it takes to look after a dog and patiently guide him to follow our instructions. Best of all, we are making sure to have fun with Arlo and playing games that he enjoys too, such as fetch This Club has been exclusively for Year 5 students in Term 1, but will be for Year 6 in Term 2, Year 7 in Term 3 and Year 8 in Term 4 respectively. It does have limited numbers of students to ensure all students get the hands-on experience of interacting closely with Arlo.
The Wargaming Club introduces students to historical wargaming using scale miniatures The students have be recreating small unit actions between Germans and American forces in WWII. Students learn strategy and tactics as they would playing chess, but in a different context and greater visual appeal This is not a common past time, but the students have taken to it with great vigour, keen to play every day if they could. Plans are underway to make that a reality where they can play historical wargames as they would chess during recess and lunchtimes

Culture Dose for Kids
Parent Code of Conduct can be accessed via this link. is a free arts engagement program for young people (aged 9 to 12) with mild anxiety - and their parent or carer
Anxiety itself is a normal emotion. However, some young people worry more than others. In this project, mild anxiety refers to children who worry a little more than their peers but are not diagnosed with an anxiety disorder.
Parents/carers play a vital supporting role and they are invited to participate in the program at the same time, in a different part of the gallery space. This program is modeled on the successful pilot at the Art Gallery of NSW.
