Santa Sophia Catholic College was proud to present the HSC 2025 Major Works Showcase a celebration of creativity, innovation, and perseverance from our graduating Year 12 students. Families, friends, and staff gathered to admire an inspiring exhibition reflecting both technical mastery and imaginative vision.
This year’s showcase highlighted the diverse talents of students across Industrial Technology, Textiles & Design, and Visual Arts.
Students produced finely crafted pieces such as TV units, record cabinets, and display cases demonstrating precision, advanced joinery, and personal significance.
Textiles & Design
Garments ranged from historical costumes to contemporary fashion and cosplay, blending research, fabric manipulation, and cultural influences to showcase individuality and creativity
Visual Arts
Bodies of Work explored themes such as environmental issues, identity, and cultural heritage through painting, sculpture, and mixed media approached with maturity and insight
Each project reflected hours of dedication, from research to final presentation, and stood as a testament to the students’ imagination and resilience
In this issue:
Some works may be selected for state-level showcases like ARTEXPRESS, but regardless of recognition, the College is proud of the courage and quality on display.
As Year 12 students near the end of their HSC journey, the Showcase highlights their achievements and the creative skills that will guide them into the future.
