The report highlights two key elements: Feedback: Seeking, using, and giving feedback. Purpose: Understanding what to learn, tracking progress, identifying next steps, and taking action. The report includes your child’s self-assessment and actionable next steps for further skill development. For more details, check out the explainer video linked at the top right of the report. Looking Ahead Next year, we will introduce the final element of Learner Agency: Courage. PREPARING FOR THE NEXT CHAPTER: ORIENTATION AND TRANSITION DAYS At Santa Sophia, we are committed to supporting students as they prepare for the next stage of their educational journey. Our Kindergarten orientation and Year 5 transition programs, along with additional step-up sessions for small groups, ensure a smooth and confident transition for all students. In November, we welcomed 125 new Kindergarten students during two orientation days. They explored their new learning spaces, met their teachers and peers, and participated in engaging literacy, numeracy, and play-based activities to experience Kindergarten routines firsthand. Meanwhile, our School of Connect hosted a transition day for current Year 4 students, soon to be members of the middle school in 2025. Students toured Level 3 of the College, met their future teachers, and learned about daily life in middle school. Their excitement was matched by the support and enthusiasm of our Year 5 students, who helped them settle in and feel welcome.

To celebrate their final year in the Schools of Curiosity and Connect, Year 4 and Year 8 students participated in memorable end-of-year experiences. Year 4 enjoyed a Ranger Jamie activity day filled with team-building games, water activities, and rocket launches that amazed everyone. Year 8 students headed to Manly Beach for a Surf Skills day, where they learned about water safety and surf techniques under the guidance of Sea Australia lifesavers. These programs and experiences highlight the strong sense of community and care at Santa Sophia, ensuring every student feels prepared and supported as they step into their next chapter.
