The Sea Monster from Dubrovnik
At the beginning of the 18th century, a ship sailed from Dubrovnik. The sailors spread a terrible news about the Sea Monster. The news ran quickly all over Europe. The legend has it that the Sea Monster showed up many times during three days. It was scary. It looked like a man. It had two arms, two legs and the body of a man. It was taller than 4 metres with a weird head. It was wandering along the coast. It lifted its hands high above. It screamed and howled so loudly that people could hear it three kilometres away. The noise terrified people to death. The legend has it that some people died on the spot just seeing the monster. It turned up in a different place every day. A week later, there was a flash in the sky. All around Dalmatia many earthquakes shook land. Ever since, the people have felt the fear. If you see the Sea Monster somewhere, let us know.
