Regional Emergency Communications Center
In 2021, SFCFD responded to 8,781 calls for emergency services.
The RECC receives all police, fire, medical, and animal control emergency 911 and nonemergency calls for the City and County of Santa Fe and dispatches responders as needed.
In 2021, the Adult Detention Center booked 4,789 detainees into the facility.

Over 100 food/cuff ports installed on existing cell doors
Emergency response capabilities were expanded with the addition of a volunteer ambulance. 15 firefighters were promoted to the rank of Engineer and three firefighters were promoted to Lieutenant. Three firefighters completed paramedic training.

Improvements were made to the facility in 2021, including:
Completion of the Lighting Protection project safeguarding all electrical equipment in the facility Upgrades and improvements were made to the kitchen Master Control was remodeled and upgraded.
A smoke alarm program was developed to provide alarms and education to County residents.
