giorni dell’anno quando le correnti e i venti trovano la giusta combinazione. S’affaccia invece sull’estate 2019, il nuovo progetto DoGa (Dolomiti Garda alpine cycling route): 110 chilometri su percorso misto che collegano le Dolomiti di Brenta al Lago di Garda.

Vivere i colori tra lago e montagna Il Garda Trentino è un diadema dai graziosi centri abitati, come Riva del Garda, Torbole-Nago, Arco, impreziosito da colori e sapori di un entroterra mediterraneo che diviene porta di accesso a valli alpine raggiungibili in poco più di un’ora. Infatti, tra dolci tornanti che risalgono i crinali, dal fondovalle si apre un nuovo orizzonte: la Val Rendena e poi Madonna di Campiglio con le Dolomiti di Brenta Patrimonio Unesco. Territori diversi eppure così vicini dove la realtà lacustre e la realtà montana sono

unite in una stessa experience che lascia solo l’imbarazzo della scelta e tutte le stagioni rappresentano il momento perfetto per la vacanza. Vivere il Garda Trentino, lasciandosi avvolgere dalla natura genuina della Valle del Sarca con dolci percorsi ciclabili che affiancano il corso del fiume; oppure pedalare sulle sponde che collegano Torbole a Riva del Garda, raggiungere la vecchia strada della Ponale e godere del fantastico panorama che questo anello apre alla vista. Un’esperienza sui pedali eccezionale, indicata sia per la mountain bike o per l’e-MTB di ultima generazione, che si completa con gli itinerari montani della Val Rendena, attraverso i tesori naturalistici del Parco Naturale Adamello Brenta. Magico inverno L’inverno apre alle piste della Skiarea Campiglio Dolomiti di Brenta, la più ampia del Trentino, e alla trepidante attesa per la 3Tre, lo slalom by night di Coppa del Mondo di sci alpino (8 gennaio 2020, la prossima data in calendario), nella deliziosa atmosfera natalizia della “Regina delle nevi”. E ancora… Scendere verso il lago per entrare nella magia del clima natalizio del Garda Trentino che riscalda il cuore a grandi e piccini con i mercatini al Borgo Medievale di Canale di Tenno e ad Arco, con il villaggio enogastronomico Di Gusto in Gusto, o la casa di Babbo Natale a Riva del Garda. La proposta poi si completa con la Garda Trentino Xmas trial, gara di trail running dalla vista impagabile di tutto l’Alto Garda.

Im Sommer 2019 wird mit DoGa (Dolomiti Garda alpine cycling route) auch ein brandneues Projekt verwirklicht: Eine 110 km lange Route auf

Wasser und Berge – eine herrliche Farbenpracht Der Trentiner Gardasee gleicht einem Diadem schmucker Städtchen und Dörfer wie Riva del Garda, Torbole-Nago, Arco, das durch die Farben und Aromen einer mediterranen Landschaft und die herrlichen, nur knapp eine Stunde entfernten Alpentälern veredelt wird. Vom Tal aus erreicht man über sanfte Kehren eine wunderbare Welt: das Rendena-Tal, Madonna di Campiglio und die Brenta-Dolomiten, die zum Unesco-Welterbe gehören. Unterschiedliche Landschaften, die am See zu einer in jeder Jahreszeit perfekten

Hier wird auf dem glitzernden Schnee der 3Tre der Nachtslalom im Alpinen Skiweltcup ausgetragen (nächster Termin: 8. Januar 2020). Talwärts geht’s zum weihnachtlichen Zauber des Trentiner Gardasees, wo kleine und große Besucher die Märkte des mittelalterlichen Ortes Canale di Tenno und von Arco, das Gourmet- und Weindorf Di Gusto in Gusto oder das Haus des Weihnachtsmanns in Riva del Garda besuchen können. Ciclovie per tutti LA BICICLETTA STA CONQUISTANDO SEMPRE PIÙ APPASSIONATI E SEMPLICI UTENTI, GRAZIE AL MIX DI BENEFICI PER IL CORPO, PER LO SPIRITO E PER L’AMBIENTE

sempre più crescente il coinvolgimento verso quel semplice veicolo a due ruote che tutti noi abbiamo provato almeno una volta. La bicicletta si sta ritagliando un posto importante nell’interazione con l’uomo il quale prende sempre più consapevolezza dei benefici per il proprio stile di vita, senza necessariamente distinguere se pedala divertendosi nel tempo libero o se semplicemente utilizza la bici per gli spostamenti nella quotidianità. Ne parliamo con l’Ufficio Infrastrutture ciclopedonali della Provincia Autonoma di Trento, ente preposto alla progettazione della parte trentina della Ciclovia del Garda, evidenziando che parleremo di piste ciclabili intese come infrastrutture stradali e non come percorsi MTB, che al momento, non hanno standard vincolanti a cui rispondere. Una questione che desta interesse è certamente comprendere la differenza tra un progetto destinato alla mobilità sostenibile, dove priorità è raggiungere più mete in breve tempo, e un’opera finalizzata al cicloturismo, con percorsi che coprono maggiori distanze e presentano più dislivelli poiché l’obiettivo è emozionare con panorami e landscape. Diversamente da quanto si può pensare, i due progetti seguono lo stesso iter iniziale: sono opere al servizio dell’uomo per miglio-

rarne lo stile di vita e devono rispondere ai requisiti di sicurezza, qualità e continuità. Che si tratti di cicloturismo o mobilità sostenibile, progettare piste ciclabili è una scelta di sicurezza, strettamente intrinseca alla qualità del percorso e quindi alla continuità, che interessa la presenza o meno di deviazioni e dislivelli. Una volta appurati questi parametri, la rete di collegamento deve garantire capillarità. Ed è proprio la capillarità che delinea una prima differenza: le mete raggiungibili coinvolgeranno, a seconda dell’opera, punti di interesse turistico oppure sedi lavorative/scolastiche. Entra poi in ballo un ulteriore elemento che marca in maniera più decisa un’altra distinzione tra progetto cicloturistico e progetto per la mobilità sostenibile: l’attrattività. Per una ciclabile destinata al tempo libero rilevante diviene la meta stessa, per esempio il landscape naturalistico oppure la città da raggiungere e visitare, e quindi i percorsi devono rispondere maggiormente al fattore attrattivo del paesaggio, e meno alla linearità del percorso. Non dimentichiamo poi che le piste ciclabili, senza distinzione di finalità, necessitano di servizi e, di conseguenza, generano un indotto in grado di determinare un’importante ricaduta economica e occupazionale.

Radwege für jedermann Wer hat nicht zumindest schon einmal auf einem Fahrrad gesessen? Der Drahtesel erfreut sich immer größerer Beliebtheit, und der Mensch ist sich seiner gesundheitlichen Vorteile zunehmend bewusst – ganz gleich, ob er das Fahrrad in der Freizeit oder im Alltag benutzt. Wir haben zu diesem Thema mit dem für Fußgänger- und Radwege zuständigen Amt der Autonomen Provinz Trient – jener Einrichtung, die auch für den Trentiner Teil des Radwegs um den Gardasee verantwortlich zeichnet – gesprochen: Dabei ging es um Radwege als Teil der Straßeninfrastruktur, nicht aber um MTB-Routen, für die derzeit keinerlei verbindliche Standards gelten. Eine interessante Frage betrifft den Unterschied zwischen nachhaltigen Mobilitäts-

projekten, deren Bestrebung die Erreichbarkeit möglichst vieler Ziele in möglichst kurzer Zeit ist, und Infrastrukturen für den Radtourismus, die größere Entfernungen abdecken und Höhenunterschiede beinhalten, da sie Ausblicke und bleibende Eindrücke von der Umgebung bieten sollen. Anders als häufig angenommen wird, haben beide Projekttypen denselben Ausgangspunkt: Es handelt sich um Vorhaben im Dienste des Menschen, die den Lebensstil verbessern bzw. Sicherheit, Qualität und Kontinuität gewährleisten sollen. Unabhängig davon, ob Mobilität oder Radtourismus ist der Kernpunkt bei der Planung die Sicherheit, die ihrerseits eng mit der Qualität der Strecke und deren Kontinuität – ob mit oder ohne Höhenunterschied – verknüpft ist. Sind diese Parameter erst einmal festgelegt, muss ein Verbindungsnetz die nötige Kapillarität sichern. Und genau da liegt der erste große Unterschied: Je nach Projekttyp handelt es sich bei den Zielorten entweder um touristisch relevante Orte oder um Arbeitsplätze und/oder Schulen. Der zweite Unterschied liegt in der Attraktivität: Bei einem Radweg für Freizeit-Biker ist das Ziel besonders relevant, sei es Natur und Umgebung oder ein Ort entlang der Strecke – daher ist weniger die Linearität der Route, sondern vielmehr ihre Attraktivität wichtig. Dabei ist nicht zu vergessen, dass Radwege, unabhängig von ihrer Zweckbestimmung, Infrastrukturen benötigen und damit Einnahmen und Beschäftigung generieren.

Cycle paths for all The simple two-wheeler that we have all tried at least once is enjoying an ever-increasing popularity. The bicycle is carving out an important place in its interaction with human beings, who are becoming more and more aware of the lifestyle benefits without necessarily distinguishing pedalling for fun outdoors from simply using a bike for everyday commuting. We spoke to the Autonomous Province of Trento and specifically with the office responsible for cycling and pedestrian infrastructure: its remit is to design the Trentino section of the “Ciclovia del Garda”, and the emphasis of the discussion was on cycle paths designed as roadways rather than mountain bike trails, which currently do not have to meet precise standards. One distinctly interesting issue is that of understanding the difference between a project aimed at sustainable mobility, where the priority is to reach as many destinations as possible in a short space of time, and a project aimed at cycle touring, with routes covering longer distances and greater differences in height, with the purpose being to offer attractive views and landscapes. Contrary to what we might think, the two projects initially follow the same path: they are intended to improve people’s lifestyles and must therefore meet the needs of safety, quality and continuity. Whether it is a matter of cycle touring or sustainable mobility, designing cycle paths means choosing safety, which is absolutely intrinsic to the quality of the route and thus to its continuity, which affects the inclusion or otherwise of detours and height differences. Once all these parameters have been identified, the network must offer capillary connections. It is precisely this capillary nature that represents a primary difference: the destinations will, depending on the aim, either be tourist attractions or workplaces/educational establishments.

A further element then comes into play that even more clearly marks another distinction between cycle touring and sustainable mobility projects: their attractiveness. For a cycle way created for leisure purposes, the destination itself becomes relevant, for example the natural landscape or the city being visited, and so routes must take more account of the attractive factor of the landscape, rather than directness. Let us not forget that cycle paths, regardless of purpose, all require services that will generate business that may in turn have significant benefits as regards the local economy and employment.

KĂźrzlich wurde auĂ&#x;erdem der Muse Social Store in der Via Calepina (Trient) erĂśffnet: Ein Workshop zur sozialen Integration fĂźr Familien und Kinder, wo aus dem wissenschaftlichen Know-how des MUSE und der Erfahrung der Sozialgenossenschaft Progetto 92 allerlei Originelles, Nachhaltiges und pĂ¤dagogisch Wertvolles entsteht.

Das Museum fĂźr Wissenschaften Trient â&#x20AC;&#x201C; Museo delle Scienze, kurz: MUSE â&#x20AC;&#x201C; ist ein Ort im stĂ¤ndigen Wandel. f NEW ENTRIES AT MUSE A visit to MUSE is always an exciting experience and the area dedicated to the origins of life is no exception: here, thanks to the new GO!Muse app and Augmented Reality, prehistoric reptiles and dinosaurs seem almost â&#x20AC;&#x153;realâ&#x20AC;?, their features reconstructed by MUSE researchers working with David Bonadonna and Fabio Manucci, two major international paleo-artists. MUSE also hosts two other innovations: its gallery of mammals now includes Blanco, the white lion from the Parco Natura Viva at Bussolengo, Verona; there is also a realistic reconstruction of two australopithecines, among the oldest representatives of the human evolutionary tree. Città all’Avanguardia Passeggiando tra le vie del centro storico, si incontra la Casa d’Arte Futurista Depero, testimonianza viva di quell’Avanguardia dei primi del ‘900 che ha introdotto innovazione e ironia, abbattendo ogni gerarchia nelle arti. isitare il Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia di Milano significa vivere un’esperienza di ricerca ed educazione scientifica. Grazie ai numerosi laboratori interattivi è possibile avvicinarsi alle diverse collezioni, carpendone importanza e significato. Quest’anno l’ampio patrimonio tecnico–scientifico è arricchito da un’esposizione interamente dedicata all’uomo d’ingegno il cui nome è noto a tutto il mondo: Leonardo da Vinci. A distanza di 500 anni

dalla sua morte e per celebrare l’altissima importanza dei suoi studi, il Museo ha inaugurato la mostra Leonardo da Vinci Parade, aperta fino al 13 ottobre 2019. Un percorso inedito attraverso le tappe che hanno suggellato il forte legame con l’eredità culturale-scientifica di Leonardo, in un continuo dialogo tra passato e presente. Era il 1952 quando, in occasione dei 500 anni dalla nascita del maestro toscano, veniva allestita la prima collezione dei suoi modelli e nel 1953 la mostra “Scienza e Tecnica di Leonardo” segnava la nascita del Museo. Oggi la mostra Leonardo da Vinci Parade dà voce anche all’arte con la quale la scienza è sempre stata in relazione. I modelli leonardeschi sono così circondati, alla stregua di custodi, da affreschi di pittori lombardi del ‘500, provenienti dalla Pinacoteca di Brera, dando risalto al legame del patrimonio Leonardesco con la città di Milano. Questa alternanza racchiude la complessità dell’intelletto di Leonardo la cui ingegnosità ha coinvolto diversi campi e si è manifestata sia nelle discipline umanistiche che scientifiche. È un immedesimarsi nell’ideazione di da Vinci attraverso i modelli di volo, nautica, strumenti di misura, dimostrazioni dell’impossibilità del moto perpetuo e molto altro. Leonardo da Vinci Parade – mehr als nur Wissenschaft Ein Besuch im Museum der Wissenschaft und Technologie in Mailand ist ein wahres Erlebnis: Zahlreiche interaktive Workshops bieten wertvolle und lehrreiche Einblicke in verschiedene Sammlungen. Der umfangreiche Schatz an Ausstellungsobjekten aus Technik und Wissenschaft wird heuer um eine Ausstellung im Gedenken an Leonardo da Vinci erweitert. 500 Jahre nach seinem Tod bietet das Museo Nazionale della Scienza e della Tecnologia zu Ehren des toskanischen Meisters bis zum 13. Oktober 2019 mit der Leonardo da Vinci Parade einen Dialog zwischen Vergangenheit und Gegenwart, der alle Etappen seines kulturellen und wissenschaftlichen Erbes durchläuft. 1952 wurde anlässlich des 500. Leonardo da Vinci Parade not just science The National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan offers visitors the experience of both research and scientific education. Numerous interactive workshops allow you to get close to the various collections and see their importance. This year the vast array of technical and scientific resources is now enriched by an exhibition entirely dedicated to a genius known all over the world: Leonardo da Vinci. To commemorate the 500th year since his death and celebrate the huge significance of his studies, the Museum is staging the “Leonardo da Vinci Parade” until 13 October 2019. The exhibition traces the development of the strong relationship

with Leonardo’s scientific and cultural heritage in a continuous dialogue between past and present. It was in 1952 when, on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the birth of the Tuscan maestro, the first collection of his models was put on display, while in 1953 the “Science and Technology of Leonardo” exhibition marked the birth of the Museum. Today the Leonardo da Vinci Parade also gives voice to the art with which science has always been connected. The models are flanked, as if by custodians, with frescoes of 16th-century Lombard painters from the Brera Gallery, emphasising how Leonardo’s legacy is linked to the city of Milan. This alternating

selection encapsulates the complexity of his intellect: his ingenuity touched upon numerous fields and manifested itself in both the humanities and sciences. It allows visitors to identify with da Vinci’s designs through his models of flying machines, boats, measuring instruments, proofs of the impossibility of perpetual motion and much more besides. The story and celebration of the work of Leonardo as a master of both engineering and technology will then continue with a major project, the New Galleries, a permanent exhibition that will open in November 2019 with the collection of historic models displayed in an immersive scenography.

anali, ponti, piazzette e imponenti costruzioni militari caratterizzano la città di Peschiera del Garda, dove i suoi possenti muraglioni sono la testimonianza dell’antica potenza veneziana, quando la città lagunare era la capitale di un impero che si estendeva nel Mediterraneo Orientale e in Italia. Per la sua posizione strategica a Peschiera del Garda sorge un intero complesso militare che nel corso dei secoli ha fortificato la cittadina rendendola uno snodo militare di grande importanza a difesa del centro abitato. Nel Quattrocento la piazzaforte di Peschiera passò sotto il controllo della Repubblica di Venezia, che rinnovò le fortificazioni preesistenti, affidando i lavori al celebre architetto Michele Sanmicheli. La nuova cinta fortificata seguiva l’andamento di quella medievale e si inserirono due varchi, la Porta Verona e la Porta Brescia, posti in direzione delle strade che conducevano alle due importanti città. Verso la metà del Cinquecento la Rocca Scaligera venne modificata e terrapienata per adattarla alle nuove armi da fuoco, men-

tre nel XVII secolo vi furono apportati importanti interventi di restauro. Il trattato di Campoformio del 1797, segnò il passaggio della fortezza di Peschiera al dominio dell’Impero austriaco che provvide a un suo ammodernamento rendendola una delle quattro fortezze del famoso Quadrilatero, insieme a Legnago, Mantova e Verona. Passata infine in mano italiana a seguito della terza guerra d’indipendenza (1866), la piazzaforte perse di importanza strategica. Da luglio 2017 la Fortezza di Peschiera è diventata patrimonio dell’Unesco e l’alta e imponente cinta muraria cinquecentesca a forma pentagonale, racchiude completamente il centro storico, vero gioiello d’architettura, d’arte e di cultura. Peschiera del Garda ha anche spiagge lunghe e sabbiose e colline moreniche da cui nasce il Lugana, vino bianco inconfondibile. Bellissima la pista ciclabile che, lungo il fiume Mincio, arriva fino a Mantova. Il porto e i porticcioli sono punti di partenza per escursioni e giornate di sole alla scoperta del golfo e del Lago di Garda.

Venezianische Mauern – ein UNESCO-Welterbe Kanäle, Brücken, Plätze und imposante Militärbauten sind typisch für Peschiera am Gardasee: Die eindrucksvolle Stadtmauer bezeugt noch heute die einstige Macht Venedigs, als die Lagunenstadt die Hauptstadt eines Imperiums war, das sich von Italien aus bis ins östliche Mittelmeer erstreckte. Aufgrund der strategischen Lage entstand in Peschiera ein weitläufiger Militärkomplex, der die Stadt im Laufe der Jahrhunderte befestigte und zu einem wichtigen Punkt für die Verteidigung des Wohngebiets wurde. Im 15. Jahrhundert unterstand die Stadt der Republik Venedig, welche den berühmten Architekten Michele Sanmicheli mit dem Ausbau der bestehenden Festung beauftragte. Die neuen Mau-

ern folgten dem Verlauf der ursprünglichen mittelalterlichen Befestigungsanlagen, wurden jedoch um zwei Tore – Porta Verona und Porta Brescia, jeweils in Richtung der gleichnamigen Städte – erweitert. Um die Mitte des 16. Jahrhunderts wurde die Burg Rocca Scaligera umgebaut und ihre Verteidigungsanlagen den damals aufkommenden Schusswaffen angepasst, bevor im 17. Jahrhundert erhebliche Restaurierungseingriffe folgten. Mit dem Vertrag von Campoformio ging die Festung 1797 an die Habsburgermonarchie über und wurde umfassend modernisiert: Zusammen mit Legnago, Mantua und Verona bildete Peschiera nun das sogenannte Festungsviereck. Nach dem Unabhängigkeit-

skrieg 1866 fiel sie schließlich an Italien und verlor an strategischer Bedeutung. Seit Juli 2017 gehört die Festung von Peschiera zum Unesco-Welterbe: Die fünfzackige Festugsmauer umschließt den alten Stadtkern mit seinen Schätzen an Architektur, Kunst und Kultur. Peschiera wartet außerdem mit langen Sandstränden und Moränenhügeln auf, aus denen ein unverwechselbarer Weißwein stammt – der Lugana. Von hier aus führt ein Radweg entlang des Flusses Mincio bis nach Mantua. Der Hafen und die Anlegebuchten sind an sonnigen Tagen ideale Ausgangs- und Zielpunkte für Entdeckungsfahrten durch den Golf und über den gesamten Gardasee.

A UNESCO - recognised Venetian heritage Canals, bridges, squares and imposing military structures characterise the city of Peschiera del Garda, whose massive walls are evidence of the former power of Venice, when the city on the lagoon was capital of an empire that stretched over the eastern Mediterranean and into Italy. Because of its strategic location, Peschiera del Garda was the site of an entire military complex that over the centuries has fortified the town, making it a military hub of great importance in the defence of the settlement. In the 15th century the stronghold of Peschiera came under the control of the Republic of Venice, which renovated the existing fortifications, assigning the work to the famous architect Michele

Sanmicheli. The new battlements followed the course of the medieval walls with two gates, Porta Verona and Porta Brescia, through which roads led to the two major cities. In the mid-16th century the Scaligero Castle was modified and ramparts added in face of the new firearms, while in the 17th century major restoration works were carried out. The Treaty of Campo Formio of 1797 ceded the fortress of Peschiera to the Austrian Empire, which modernised it to become one of the four fortresses of the famous Quadrilateral, along with Legnago, Mantua and Verona. It finally came into Italian hands after the Third War of Independence in 1866 and thereafter lost its strategic importance.

Since July 2017 the fortress of Peschiera has been a Unesco World Heritage Site: the high and imposing 16th century walls, pentagonal in form, completely enclose the old town, itself a gem of architecture, art and culture. Peschiera del Garda also boasts long, sandy beaches as well as moraine hills from which comes the distinctive Lugana white wine. A wonderful cycle path runs alongside the Mincio river down to Mantua. The harbour and marinas are starting points for outings and for sunny days exploring the bay and Lake Garda itself.

ungo il perimetro del Lago di Garda, si incontra la piccola e graziosa cittadina di Salò. Situata nell’area del parco Alto Garda Bresciano e affacciata sul golfo, è luogo ideale per ammirare tutta la bellezza delle tinte azzurre delle acque lacustri e le macchie verdi della vegetazione mediterranea. Oggi la sede municipale ha sede proprio presso il Palazzo della Magnifica Patria, sul lungolago, e proseguendo oltre un portico del ‘300, si incontra il Palazzo del Podestà con la ricca biblioteca dell’Ateneo dove sono custoditi pregiati documenti risalenti alla Magnifica Patria. Spostandosi quindi nel centro storico non si può che rimanere incantati dinnanzi ai palazzi signorili risalenti al periodo ‘400-‘600, alla Porta della Fossa e alla Torre dell’Orologio, tutte testimonianze del prestigioso valore storico-artistico racchiuso in questa cittadina. La visita al Duomo, realizzato in stile tardo gotico e risalente al 1453, permette di ripercorrere un itinerario nell’itinerario attraverso le tele del Romanino, di Paolo Veneziano, gli affreschi di Palma il Giovane e il crocifisso in legno policromo del battistero, opera di Giovanni Teutonicus. Salò è una città che, oltre all’incantevole posizione, nasconde una storia tutta da conoscere.

Salò, von der Magnifica Patria bis heute Am Ufer des Gardasees liegt das schöne Städtchen Salò, einst Salodium. Durch seine Lage im Naturpark Alto Garda Bresciano am Golf ist es ein idealer Ort, um die vielen Blauschattierungen des Sees und die Grüntöne der mediterranen Vegetation zu genießen. Die Gassen und Straßen des Stadtkerns üben eine besondere Faszination aus und warten mit einem entzückenden und wohlgepflgten Reichtum an Kunst, Kultur und Geschichte auf. Zu Bekanntheit gelangte Salò erstmals im 15. Jahrhundert, als die Gemeinden der Riviera Bresciana und Val Sabbia sich zusammenschlossen, um den Schutz Venedigs vor ständigen Plünderungen zu erbitten. Inaugurato ad agosto 2018, è uno spazio multimediale dedicato al racconto di una storia entusiasmante: quella delle mele Melinda, della splendida valle in cui nascono e crescono, dei metodi di coltivazione sostenibili con cui vengono coltivate, che da sempre contraddistinguono questa realtà produttiva trentina. Visitare questo spazio significa vivere e sperimentare, attraverso un video emozionante e coinvolgente, l’affascinante mondo sotterraneo delle Celle Ipogee, grotte sotteranee scavate nella Dolomia, roccia risalente a 200 milioni di anni fa, situate nella Miniera di Rio Maggiore, a una profondità di 275 m e a circa 575 m.s.l.m. In questo ambiente ipogeo che garantisce un’atmosfera controllata vengono conservate oltre 200 milioni di mele.

Un vero e proprio processo di conservazione sostenibile nato da un’interpretazione straordinaria della tradizione che, in passato, vedeva le mele immagazzinate nelle cantine. Oggi, quell’ideale e ottimale ambiente, è simbolo di un’operazione di riutilizzo e valorizzazione di gallerie appartenenti a un’attività mineraria già esistente, ma inutilizzata. L’opera garantisce quindi un ridotto impatto ambientale, preservando il territorio da nuove costruzioni, mantenendolo integro nella sua naturalezza, risparmiando energia elettrica, riducendo le emissioni di CO2 e dimezzando il consumo idrico. Il Golden Theatre non è solo un’imperdibile meta, è molto di più: un viaggio nel mondo sotterraneo che nasce lì, in quel preciso punto dove terminano le radici degli alberi e prosegue nel sottosuolo, custodendo intatti sapori e profumi delle mele dal bollino blu.

Das Golden Theatre: Ein virtueller Ausflug ins Herz des Nonstals Auf der Fahrt durch Segno di Predaia (TN) fällt ein goldfarbenes Gebäude mit futuristischer Linienführung besonders ins Auge: das Golden Theatre. Die multimediale Einrichtung wurde im August 2018 eröffnet und führt Besucher in die aufregende Geschichte des Nonstaler Apfels ein: Der goldene Melinda wird mit bewährten nachhaltigen Methoden im Nonstal angebaut. Eine mitreißende Videopräsentation gibt Einblicke in die faszinierende Welt der alten Minen von Rio Maggiore, die 275 m unter der Erde auf ca. 575 m Meereshöhe ins 200 Mio. Jahre alte Dolomitgestein geschlagen wurden. Hier werden heute mehr als 200 Mio. Äpfel gespeichert – ein nachhaltiger Lagerungsprozess und eine außergewöhnliche Interpretation der seit alters gewohnten Lagerung in Kellern. Heute sind die unterirdischen Speicher ein Symbol für die Nutzung und Auf- wertung bestehender und über lange Zeit ungenutzter Relikte des Bergbaus. Die Umweltauswirkungen sind begrenzt,

da keine Neubauten erforderlich waren. Durch die Nutzung der optimalen natürlichen Atmosphäre bleiben Stromverbrauch und CO2-Emissionen gering, und der Wasserverbrauch wird halbiert. Das Golden Theatre ist aber viel mehr als nur ein lohnendes Ausflugsziel: Es bietet eine Reise in eine unterirdische Welt – unter die Wurzeln der Bäume in ein Reich, in dem Geschmack und Duft der goldenen Äpfel mit der blauen Marke einmalig bewahrt werden.

Over 200 million apples are kept in the controlled atmosphere offered by this subterranean environment: a genuinely sustainable form of storage derived from a remarkable interpretation of the tradition that, in the past, saw apples stored in cellars. Today, this ideal environment is a symbol of the repurposing of the existing but unused mine galleries. The project thus

ensures a low environmental impact, removing the need for new buildings locally, preserving the natural surroundings, saving electricity, reducing CO2 emissions and halving water consumption. The Golden Theatre is not just an unmissable attraction, it is much more besides: it is a journey through the underworld that originates at the very point where the tree roots end, from where it continues underground, preserving intact the flavours and aromas of apples that bear the blue label.

elluto, pizzo, seta. È con gli abiti migliori che, dal 5 all’8 settembre a Canazei, i ladini della Val di Fassa accolgono gli ospiti alla “Gran Festa da d’Istà”. La manifestazione, che giunge alla 40ª edizione, celebra la fine dell’estate ed è un vero happening per i ladini che popolano le vallate attorno al massiccio del Sella. Dopo tre giorni di musica folk e piatti tipici, si arriva al clou della festa: la sfilata della domenica pomeriggio, quando un migliaio di persone (tra gruppi e bande) con i “guanc” (vestiti tradizionali) sfila per le vie del paese tra ali di folla. Questa è una delle migliori occasioni per avvicinarsi alla cultura e alla lingua ladina, che danno carattere a una delle più affascinanti terre del Trentino. La Val di Fassa si sviluppa per venti chilometri nel cuore delle Dolomiti ed è un concentrato di meraviglie naturali. Da Moena a Canazei si sussegue un tripudio di vette che lascia senza fiato: Catinaccio, Sassolungo, Sella e Marmolada sono solo alcune delle sue cime più famose. Una terra d’incanto in tutte le stagioni. D’inverno è culla di molti sport bianchi, in particolare lo sci alpino per cui è considerata una destinazione top grazie ai suoi 210 km di piste e alla sua posizione al centro del Sellaronda e del Dolomiti Superski. D’estate è un’oasi da esplorare a piedi o in MTB, lungo migliaia di chilometri di sentieri che si insinuano tra prati, boschi e guglie. Fassa conquista anche con un’ottima gastronomia, tradizioni e leggende, come quella di Re Laurino che, si narra, abbia fatto di questo paradiso di dolomia e foreste il suo regno incantato.

Una comunità dalla storia e dalla lingua antica I Ladini di Fassa sono una delle comunità stanziate nelle cinque vallate che si dipartono dal massiccio del Sella, nelle Dolomiti, dove ancora si parla una lingua di origine antica: il ladino, che vanta una posizione autonoma nel quadro delle lingue romanze. The Fassa Valley: elegant traditions Wearing their best clothes of velvet, lace and silk, the Ladins of the Fassa Valley welcome guests to the “Gran Festa da d’istà”, held from 5 to 8 September in Canazei. This event, now in its 40th year, celebrates the end of summer and is a true happening for the Ladins who populate the valleys around the Sella massif. After three days of folk music and traditional dishes comes the real highlight: the Sunday afternoon procession of one thousand people (including groups and bands) in their “guanc” or traditional costume, parading down the town’s crowd-lined streets. This is one of the best occasions for getting to know the Ladin culture and language that characterise one of the most beautiful parts of Trentino. Full of natural wonders, the Fassa Valley extends for 20 km into the

heart of the Dolomites: from Moena to Canazei runs a breathtaking sequence of peaks, with the Catinaccio, Sassolungo, Sella and Marmolada massifs among the most famous. It is a land with a special charm for every season as well as an arena for numerous winter sports, especially downhill skiing: located at the centre of the Sella Ronda and Dolomiti Superski areas, with 210 km of slopes, it is considered a top skiing destination. In summer it is an ideal place to explore on foot or by mountain bike: thousands of kilometres of trails wind between meadows, woods and pinnacles. The valley can also offer fascinating cuisine, traditions and legends, such as that of King Laurin who, it is said, established his enchanted kingdom here among the idyllic Dolomites.

A historic community and its ancient language The Ladins of the Fassa Valley make up one of the communities in the five valleys that radiate from the Sella massif in the Dolomites. Their language, Ladin, is of ancient origin and has an autonomous position in the family of Romance languages. Awareness of language and a sense of identity are rooted in the people here, supported by the Province of Trento, Ladin schools (where children study the language) and institutions such as the Comun general de Fascia and the Ladin Cultural Institute, the “Majon di Fascegn”.

Nach drei Tagen im Zeichen von Volksmusik und lokalen Spezialitäten kommt der Höhepunkt des Festes: Der Umzug am Sonntagnachmittag, wenn rund eintausend Menschen (Musikkapellen und Gruppen) in „Guanc“ (traditioneller Tracht) durch die Straßen ziehen. Es gibt kaum eine bessere Gelegenheit, um die ladinische Sprache und Kultur kennen zu lernen, die dieses Gebiet zu einem der faszinierendsten des Trentino machen.

Das etwa 20 km lange Fassatal im Herzen der Dolomiten steckt voller Naturwunder. Die Abfolge von Gipfeln zwischen Moena und Canazei ist nichts weniger als atemberaubend: Rosengarten, Langkofel, Sella und Marmolata sind nur einige der bekanntesten. Im Winter gilt das Tal als Top-Destination für Wintersportler und bietet mit Sellaronda und Dolomiti Superski ganze 210 km Pisten, im Sommer ist es eine wahre Oase, die es auf dem Rad oder zu Fuß entlang tausender Kilometer von Wegen durchWiesen und Wälder zu entdecken gilt. Außerdem wartet das Tal mit einem Schatz an Gastronomie, Tradition und Sagen auf, etwa der Legende von König Laurin, der hier sein Reich hatte.

Ein Tal mit uralter Geschichte und Sprache Die Fassa-Ladiner sind eine der fünf Talgemeinschaften rund um den Sellastock in den Dolomiten, wo eine uralte romanische Sprache gesprochen wird: Ladinisch. Das Bewusstsein um Sprache und Identität ist hier stark verwurzelt und wird von der Provinz Trient, ladinischsprachigen Schulen und Einrichtungen wie dem Comun General de Fascia und dem ladinischen Kulturinstitut „Majon di Fascegn“ gefördert.
