13 SCCP Visual Tenets The SCCP application criterion were developed based on the model Scenic City created by the 18 SCCP partners. There is intentional overlap of the ten visual elements and green infrastructure that is incorporated into city infrastructure to maximize sustainability outcomes. The ten visual tenets were created with sustainability and the critical urban factors described in figure 1 as the foundation. The 10 visual tenets quantify the aspects that the 18 program partners determined are essential to address to fit the standard of a Certified Scenic City. The 10 visual tenets directly relate to the application criteria included in the Scenic City application. The SCCP believe the ten elements below are essential for cities to craft intentional language regarding as they expand and develop to ensure the city may maintain control over the fabric of their home. The 10 visual tenets used to define the model Scenic City include:
