ave you ever wondered what happens after a tooth fairy takes your lost teeth? Where do they end up? If you have questions that need answering, then you’ll want to check out a new film called A Tooth Fairy Tale!

Meet Van – a teenage tooth fairy with a taste for adventure. Van is the son of the headmaster of tooth fairy construction, and he is fed up of the traditional tooth fairy life he’s living. The idea of just collecting kids’ teeth for the rest of his life seems so boring!

So when Van meets Gemma, a daring goblin girl with a knack for science, the pair soon realise they have lots in common. This is despite the fact their two tribes have fought each other many times in the past!

With the help of Rupee (a super-cute troll), Van and Gemma decide to embark on a mission to reunite their magical kingdoms for good! However, this won’t be an easy mission. Hot on their trail is the greedy Spider Queen and her minions, and they will stop at nothing to destroy Van and Gemma’s plans!

You can watch ‘A Tooth Fairy Tale’ in UK and Ireland cinemas now

A Tooth Fairy Tale has got me thinking about being adventurous! I recently went on holiday with my husband, and we left our daughters at home with their nana. Because we’d never done it before, this felt a bit scary for me. However, I knew if I could be brave, it would be great – I’d see somewhere new, eat delicious food and get to spend time hanging out with my husband. I stepped out of my comfort zone and had a brilliant time. Sometimes God wants us to step out of our comfort zones too. You might be thinking, ‘How can I do that?’ Maybe you’ve never been to church before and want to try it – go for it! Or perhaps your friends don’t know that you’re Jesus’ friend because you’ve never shared that with them – tell them! God wants us to be brave and try new things, so show him your adventurous side!

What’s Important to You?

Afew weeks ago, some young people at my church made a super exciting choice – they got baptised (which is a special way people in some churches show that they’ve decided to follow Jesus, by going under the water and coming back up)!

Why did they get baptised? Because they felt God’s amazing love in their hearts which filled them with joy and purpose. Being baptised was their way of saying, ‘God is the most important part of my life!’

Getting baptised can be an awesome decision. But here’s something that’s cool to remember –following God is a choice we make every single day! Sometimes, other things try to sneak in and become more important to us than God. When that happens, those things can become like little idols.

You may be wondering, ‘What’s an idol?’ Well, in the Bible, King Ahab worshipped a statue

God at the Centre

In the space outside the heart, write or draw the things that sometimes take your attention away from God. In the heart, write or draw all the things that you’re thankful to God for, and use them as a reminder to always keep God at the centre of your heart.

Read the comment below about idols

called Baal. This statue couldn’t see, hear or help him at all! Sounds kind of silly, right? But guess what – anything we put before God can become an idol too.

Nowadays, it probably won’t be a statue. However, it could be things like gaming too much, always wanting more stuff, having hobbies that push God to the side, or even wanting to be like someone else. These things aren’t bad by themselves, but if they become more important than God, they’ve become an idol.

So how do we keep God first in our lives? Easy! Like Elijah, remember that God cares for you, loves you and wants to provide for you. He even sent Jesus to save the world and make you a part of his family. Remembering this will help us keep God in our hearts as the most important one of all.

Bumper Bible Breakdown

Did you know the Bible isn’t one big book? It’s actually 66 books put together to tell one big story of God’s great love. Join us as we look at each Bible book and discover why God made the world, what went wrong and how in the end God saved the world through his son, Jesus.

Thank You, Philippi!

When Paul was in prison, a church in Philippi sent a man to support him. This man had a very long (and very tricky) name – Epaphroditus. Epaphroditus gave Paul money, and when he returned to Philippi, he brought a letter that Paul had written home with him.

In this letter, Paul thanked the church in Philippi for their support. However, this letter was far more than just a thank-you note. Paul talked about the suffering that he was experiencing. He wanted the church to know that it was worthwhile, because being a Christian was better than anything else in the whole world. Paul knew that he would never be alone, because God would always be with him, and he wanted the church to know that too. They could have joy no matter what they were facing, because Jesus really truly loved them!

When I Grow Up

What do you want to be when you grow up? To help you learn about a job that you might be interested in, we’ve asked a grown-up to tell us all about what they do for work. It’s time to meet a…

Patch’s Problem...? ? ? ? ? ? ?

HELLO, READERS, I’VE LOST A VERY IMPORTANT OBJECT SOMEWHERE IN THE ISSUE. WOULD YOU BE ABLE TO HELP ME FIND IT? I HAVE A CLUE OF WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE HERE.

I’m Johnathan – a 27-year-old freelance photographer and videographer (someone who films videos). During the last five years, I’ve worked with brands including Paramount, Channel 4 and Instagram to create eye-catching images and videos. When I’m not working, I love running and listening to music – nothing beats a 5K run with my favourite playlist in the background! There’s no such thing as a normal workday for me. One day I might be filming on set, the next I might be editing footage or scouting out new locations. The variety of the job keeps things exciting! The best thing about my job is the fact I get to be creative. Every project is an opportunity to bring new ideas to life and tell unique stories. I love working with different people and brands, exploring new locations and constantly learning. If you’d like to be a photographer or videographer one day, my advice would be to start creating as soon as possible. Don’t wait for the perfect camera or other equipment – use what you have and keep experimenting. Also, learn from others, ask questions and don’t be afraid to make mistakes – every project can teach you something. Most importantly, enjoy it and let your creativity guide you!

icture this – you’re settled comfortably in a seat that gives you the perfect view of a gladiatorial arena. This is a place where warriors battle each other, and you’re preparing to see two of the most meteoric showdowns of all time – the mighty Pantaro against the evil Sludgewing, and the fiery Blazagon against the villainous Cacticus (who looks, just as you’d expect, a bit like a cactus)!

Of course, none of these warriors actually exist – but with the new Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Meteor Madness Versus packs, you can make these battles a reality! Each pack comes with two warriors who are ready for action, only there’s something special about these fighters – they can stretch up to three times their size! This makes the Heroes of Goo Jit Zu Meteor Madness action figures the ultimate toys for any kid who loves to stretch, smash and battle in the most extreme way possible.

For your opportunity to win your own Goo Jit Zu Meteor Madness Versus pack, answer the question below and email your full name, age, address and answer to kidsalive@salvationarmy.org.uk. Remember to put ‘Goo Jit Zu Competition’ in the subject box. Your entry needs to reach us by Friday 28 November when the winners will be chosen. Anti-Bullying Week

If you could choose to have any superpower, which would you choose? Perhaps you’d want to have super-strength, or the ability to turn invisible. Or maybe you’d want to be able to fly, so that you could explore the whole world!

Although it’s a bit unlikely that you have real superpowers (unless, of course, you’ve been bitten by a radioactive spider), that doesn’t mean that you don’t have the power to do amazing things in this world. In fact, that’s exactly what Anti-Bullying Week is all about!

No More Bullying!

Have you heard of Anti-Bullying Week before? It takes place every year, and this year it begins on Monday 10 November. For five days, kids from all around the UK will be encouraged to work together to bring bullying to an end.

Bullying is when someone repeatedly tries to hurt another person. This can involve hurting someone physically, or with their words. It can even take place online! To be honest, it’s a really serious problem – around 40 per cent of children in the UK have experienced bullying in the last year!

Power for Good

Bullying needs to be stopped, but you don’t need to have superpowers or wear a ridiculous cape to fight it!

The theme of this year’s Anti-Bullying Week in England, Wales and Northern Ireland is Power for Good. It’s all about how everyone has the power to battle bullying, and to help people who have been bullied. In other words, everyone can be a hero!

How to be a Hero

Do you want to be a hero and help to stop bullying? If you do, then you’ll want to check out this special guide that we’ve put together.

Before we get started, come up with your own superhero name and write it in the box below!

Super Sight

If you’ve seen someone being bullied, you might be tempted to not tell anyone. However, if you want to be a hero, you shouldn’t just sit back. You should find a grown-up you trust and tell them what you’ve seen!

Awesome Kindness

When someone’s being bullied, it can make them feel as if no one cares for them! A superhero knows how brilliant it is to be kind to people who are sad. So why not show kindness to kids who are experiencing bullying? You might ask them to play a game with you, or you might even bake them a sweet treat!

Brilliant Bravery

If you’re seeing someone being bullied by a group of kids, you might be tempted to join in or laugh along with them – just so that you don’t stand out. Instead, if you want to be a hero, choose to be brave! It’s better to stand out by not getting involved in something mean, and it’s even better to help defend the person who’s being bullied.

A Super Costume

On Monday 10 November, it’s also Odd Socks Day. This is a day when you can wear odd socks to school, such as a green sock on one foot and a red sock on the other! Everyone’s socks will be super different, and that’s a brilliant thing. That’s because the point of Odd Socks Day is to celebrate that we’re all different and unique!

Wearing odd socks will be a bit like wearing a superhero costume – you’ll be showing others that you’re a hero who stands up to bullying!

Be a hero this Anti-Bullying Week!
