Kate McGough Schuff ’55
is an art collector.
Salpointe sweethearts from the Class of 1957 celebrated over 61 years of marriage. Congratulations to Bob and Joan Carlucci Stapleton and Dick and Carmine Cavaliere Adamcin. The Stapletons live in Tucson and the Adamcins in Chula Vista, CA.
The 1960s
Jim Magner ’60 recently published two historical fiction novels titled “The Dead Man on the Corner” and “John Dillinger and Geronimo: The War in Skeleton Canyon,” both of which are set in the Tucson area. In addition to writing novels, Jim has written an art column for “Hill Rag,” a Capitol Hill newspaper since 2002 and is also a painter with works in private, corporate and government collections.
Fr. John Lyons ’65 was bestowed with the papal honor of Chaplain to His Holiness with the title of Reverend Monsignor. Msgr. Lyons retired from his most recent position as pastor of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Tucson after 11 years of service.
The 1970s
Ricardo Moreno ’78 was named the head athletic trainer at Chandler Gilbert Community College.
The 1980s
Joseph Rodgers ’80 has been breaking down barriers to ballet for children in South Tucson through his business Dancing in the Streets Arizona. The dance school provides students of all incomes, abilities, ages and experiences a place to learn ballet.
William Campbell ’87 served as the music composer for the film Hunger Ward, which received a 2021 Oscar nomination under the “Documentary: Short Subject” category. William is an accomplished composer, performer and teacher, whose music may be heard over radio stations, at conferences and festivals, in concert halls, faith communities, movie theaters, dance and dramatic events. He was inducted into Salpointe’s Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame in 2011.
The 1990s
Hestia Lei ’90 joined T-Mobile as Head of Strategic Programs & Operations in early 2020. She is responsible for driving video experience and engagement initiatives within the new T-Mobile/Sprint enterprise. Most recently, she was at Sony PlayStation Vue building a better world with OTT (Over The Top) content and device partnerships. Hestia resides in Los Angeles, CA with her husband and son.
Bryan Hannley ’91 and Elizabeth Dorsey Bollinger ’92 collaborated between their two organizations to provide scholarship funding to future nurses in Tucson. Bryan is the Board Chair of the Pima Community College Foundation and Elizabeth is the Executive Director of the Catholic Foundation.
Mary Wood ’94 owns a fun and refreshing food truck in Tucson called BlackJack Citrus Infusions. Mary makes her own simple syrups and looks to local flavors and flavors from Mexico to make her lemonade pop. Among her drink selections, you’ll find lemonade flavored with prickly pear, jalapeño, mango and tamarind. In addition to BlackJack, Mary recently returned to work at Salpointe as the Spirit Store Manager. Amy Brandhuber ’95 is the Program Supervisor for Pima County’s Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program which provides foster children with one-onone advocacy and mentorship. Amy was appointed to two national leadership councils.
Jodi Bartley Eastberg ’95 was promoted to the Dean of Professional and Graduate Studies at Alverno College in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She will oversee the Education, Business, and Communication Departments as well as all of their graduate programs.
Jennifer Kinkade ’95 was appointed Director of Operations of Clique Studios, a custom digital design company based in Chicago. Previously, she worked as the Senior Project Manager and Operations Lead over her four years with the company. After graduating from Salpointe, Jennifer studied creative writing and earned her Master’s in educational psychology. She taught English for 11 years before joining Clique Studios.
Dr. Tad DeWald ’97 is a fellowship-trained non-surgical sports medicine physician working at Tucson Orthopaedic. He has used orthobiologics and regenerative medicine procedures to treat patients for the last eight years.
Courtney Wright Castoro, M.D. ’98 was recruited to Providence Anesthesiology Associates, P.A. in Charlotte, NC, during her fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. During her first two years at the practice, she was selected as the Cardiac Anesthesiology Section Chief and was voted partner in July 2020. As a junior partner, she drafted numerous enhanced recovery after surgery protocols, including a mastectomy pathway, which improves recovery and decreases postoperative pain and patients undergoing mastectomies and currently serves on the advisory board drafting a recovery pathway for her cardiac surgical patients. During the COVID-19 crisis, Courtney and her fellow physicians were instrumental in securing PPE for staff at the hospital and developed protocols aimed at keeping patients and clinicians safe. Courtney is double-boarded in both anesthesiology and transesophageal echocardiography.
Marisol Quiroz ’98 earned her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona College of Education.
Jeffrey Sklar ’00 was appointed to the Pima County Superior Court by Governor Doug Ducey. Jeff is a partner at Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie, where he has been a commercial litigator since 2010.
Alison Prendergast Harvey ’01
and her husband Dylan are the new owners of the Philabaum Glass Gallery. Tom Philabaum, past Salpointe faculty, and his wife Dabney retired in October after opening the gallery 38 years ago. Alison and Dylan have three young children who all came to the gallery as babies.
Matt Martin ’02 is an Alderman in Chicago, IL, and was named to Chicago’s 40-Under-40 List.
Alexander Ball ’07 was elected Justice of Peace in Pima County during the 2020 election. He began his 4-year term on January 1, 2021. Alex has spent the last seven years working in the federal courts system after graduating college with a Bachelor in Economics and a Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Emma Darlington Munsch ’07 was named the new head coach of Tucson Ford Dealers Aquatics, a silver medal swim club in Tucson.
The 2010s
McKenna Ronquillo Schray ’10 earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership from Seton Hall University.
Jacob Arzouman ’11 graduated from Pima College’s Public Safety and Emergency Services Institute. Jacob was his class salutatorian and will be working with Northwest Fire District as a paramedic.
Ben Richmond ’11 was promoted to Associate Director of the Community Engagement Core at the Southwest Environmental Health Science Center. Ben manages programs for tribal communities and youth, working towards environmental health literacy and risk communication. Lisa Le ’13 completed her Doctor of Pharmacy in May 2021 from the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy.
Melissa Bohnert ’14 is pursuing her Ph.D. in Sociology at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. Her research study, “Emerging Digital Generations,” published in August, discusses the effects of screen time on the mental health of children.
Regis F. Wiegand ’14 patented his design called Kitty Cure, the creative alternative to declawing cats and a litter box pet-i-cure system.
Alexa Colette Keith ’15 graduated from the University of Chicago and worked as an Editorial Researcher for David Axelrod and his “Axe Files” series. Alexa is now working in the White House as a researcher in the Offi ce Of Presidential Personnel.
Alec McCall ’17 graduated Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State University with a degree in biomedical engineering that includes two minors in chemistry and business. He has accepted an offer to pursue his Ph.D. in biomedical engineering at Brown University under a fully-funded research position.
Carli Orcutt ’18 was named a Scholastic All-American by the Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association. Carli is in her third year of gymnastics with the San Jose State Spartans. She was also recognized as a 2020 Scholar-Athlete by the Mountain Pacifi c Sports Federation.

Jackie Barra ’20 and Stephen Peterson ’20 have joined the Stories that Soar! professional cast as paid contracted artists to continue this mission-driven work in the community.
