This is an update regarding Allergy Alert Testing, safety warnings and usage instructions on Pulp Riot product packaging.

If using a Pulp Riot product from the ranges above that you already have in stock, please refer to this booklet which contains the correct Allergy Alert Testing protocol, safety warnings and usage instructions. Please read this information before using the aformentioned products to ensure correct and safe use.

• Do not colour the hair if: - your client has a rash on their face or sensitive, irritated and damaged scalp, - your client has ever experienced any reaction after colouring their hair, -your client has experienced a reaction to a temporary “black henna” tattoo in the past.

HOW TO PERFORM THE ALLERGY ALERT TEST: • Remove earrings. Behind the ear and using a cotton-bud apply a little of the colourant product sufficient to cover an area of 1 to 2 cm2 (e.g. the size of a small coin). Carefully reseal the colourant container. Allowing to dry.

• Leave for 48 hours without washing, covering or touching.

If during this period you or your client notice any abnormal reactions, such as itching, redness or swelling in or around the test area, DO NOT APPLY THE PRODUCT.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS • IN CASE OF A REACTION DURING THE APPLICATION such as intense stinging, irritation, rash or burning sensation on the scalp, rinse immediately and discontinue use. In case of shortness of breath, seek immediate medical attention.

Before colouring the hair again, recommend your client consults a doctor.

• Advise your client that if, DURING THE DAYS FOLLOWING THE APPLICATION, itching, redness, spots on the scalp or skin, swelling of the eyes and/or the face, blisters or oozing of the scalp and/or skin occurs, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

• Keep out of reach of children. • Do not use to dye a beard or moustache, eyelashes or eyebrows. Do not use for any purpose other than colouring the hair. • Avoid contact with skin and eyes. • Rinse eyes immediately and abundantly if the product comes into contact with them. If contact lenses are worn, they should be removed before rinsing the eyes thoroughly with water. • Rinse hair well after application. • Do not ingest. • For all questions concerning the personal sensitivity of your client, recommend consultation with a doctor.

FACTION8 INSTRUCTION LEAFLET WARNINGS DIRECTIONS: In a non-metallic bowl, mix FACTION8 colour (1 part) with PULP RIOT Premium Developer (1 part); mixing ratio 1:1. For the high lift series only, the mixing ratio is 1:2. Do not mix the High Lift series with other FACTION8 colour shades.

See the table below for choosing the Developer.

PREPARATION: Wear suitable disposable gloves. Use exclusively with the recommended oxidants, 40 volumes (12%) maximum. Do not use with hydrogen developer greater than 40 volumes (12%). Use only the proportions indicated. When a shaker is used, open immediately after mixing to avoid the shaker bursting and damage from the product overflowing.

APPLICATION AND RINSING Wear suitable disposable gloves. Do not use metallic tools (clips, comb, …). Rinse the hair well after the development time.

Apply the mixture to dry, unwashed hair. The high lift series should be applied to bases no darker than light brown (level 5).

Process for 35 minutes, then rinse and shampoo well. For the high lift series, the processing time is 45-55 minutes. For optimal grey coverage on white hair, we recommend mixing equal parts of the desired colour tone and shade from the Natural series with the same tone. For intense grey coverage, use shades from the Natural -00 series.

FIRST ALL OVER COLOUR ON NATURAL HAIR – Divide the hair into 4 sections with one parting from ear to ear, and the other parting from middle of forehead to middle of nape passing through the crown. Apply the mixture to the whole length of the hair shaft and ends (starting 1-2 cm from the roots). Mix new formula with 10 volumes lower developer strength for the roots and apply. Leave for 35 min. Rinse, rub well, and shampoo. To colour to a natural colour or darker, apply the colour mixture starting from the roots, and working towards the ends in a single movement with a processing time of 35 min.

COLOURING ROOTS – Divide the head into four sections. Apply the mixture to the roots. To even out ends and faded lengths, rub in for the last 10 minutes of treatment time. Rinse, rub well, and shampoo.

BOOSTERS – Designed to intensify the chosen shade according to the desired result or to help neutralize undertones.

Boosters can be mixed with any other shade of the same line (except High Lifts) and the mixing ratio can be varied, according to the desired intensity. Apply to damp or dry hair. Works in 5 mins. or less. For deeper pigment leave up to 15 min. To minimize the color deposit, change ratio to 1:3 or 1:4. BLANK CANVAS WARNINGS DIRECTIONS: Ratio: 1:3 In a non-metallic bowl, mix one full packet of Blank Canvas (1.5 oz. / 43 g) with 6 (2%), 10 (3%), or 20 (6%) Volumes of PULP RIOT Developer. Apply only to hair treated with semi-permanent color. Process up to 30 minutes at room temperature, checking every 5 minutes until desired results are achieved.

PREPARATION: • Wear suitable disposable gloves. • Prepare the mixture by taking the powder first and then by measuring the developer on top of it. • Mix in a well-ventilated area.

APPLICATION AND RINSING: • Wear suitable disposable gloves. • Do not let product run onto scalp• Do not use metallic tools (clips, comb, etc.). • Do not leave the product longer than the recommended processing time. • Do not use heat during the development time. • Rinse hair well after development time.

⚠ GB - SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT: THIS PRODUCT CONTAINS PERSULFATES. IT CAN CAUSE AN ALLERGIC REACTION, WHICH, IN CERTAIN RARE CASES, MAY BE SEVERE. FOR YOU AND YOUR CLIENT, IT IS THEREFORE ESSENTIAL TO FOLLOW THE PRECAUTIONS BELOW: • First, ask your client if they have previously experienced an of allergic reaction to a color removal or bleaching product • DO NOT USE IF: - You or your client have already had a reaction to a color removal or bleaching product - Your client has a sensitive, irritated or damaged scalp • For any questions about your personal sensitivity or your client's, consult a doctor or recommend that your client do so • In case of intense stinging, irritation, swelling, spots, a burning sensation of the scalp or respiratory distress stop using the product and rinse immediately with lukewarm water for at least 30 minutes. Do not apply anything after rinsing and stop using the product. Do not use heat for drying. Do not lighten or dye the hair on the same day or for several days afterwards. Before repeating the color removal or bleaching session, recommend that your client consults a doctor.

• In case of difficulty breathing, seek immediate medical attention.

- The color removal mixture contains: ammonia, hydrogen peroxide and persulfates This product was formulated for reduced volatility; however, the following precautions should be taken during preparation: • DO NOT INHALE OR INGEST THE POWDER • In case of ingestion, do not induce vomiting, consult a doctor immediately • WEAR SUITABLE DISPOSABLE GLOVES when preparing, applying and rinsing the product • Prepare and apply the mixture in a well-ventilated area.

• Only use with the recommended developers, PULP RIOT Premium Developer, 20V maximum (6%).

- Avoid contact of the product with the skin and eyes, do not use to lighten eyelashes or eyebrows. Failure to comply with this instruction may cause blindness.

- Rinse eyes immediately and abundantly if the product comes into contact with them and consult a doctor. Remove contact lenses before rinsing eyes.

- Keep hair off the face after the product has been applied.

- Leave the product on for the specified amount of time, then rinse hair thoroughly with warm water. Do not exceed the development time.

- This product is not intended for use on persons under the age of 16. Keep away from children.

- Only use with the recommended oxidants, Pulp Riot Developer, 20V (6%) maximum.

- Failure to comply with the usage instructions correctly may lead to hair loss, hair breakage or burning of the scalp.

- Do not use for any purpose other than stripping color from the hair.

- Do not use to lighten beard or moustaches or for any purpose other than lightening the hair.

- Do not use on hair that is very fine, sensitized, or straightened, or on hair that has been relaxed or permed on that day.

- Do not use if the hair has been dyed with henna or a progressive dye.

- Store the pouch of powder well sealed by the zip in a dry, ventilated area away from heat.

BLONDEAF LIGHTENER WARNINGS For on scalp, in foil, or hand painting techniques DIRECTIONS: In a non-metallic bowl mix mix 1:1.5 (Powder: PULP RIOT Developer). DEVELOPERS: • Off scalp and hand painting: PULP RIOT 6, 10, 20, 30 or 40 volume. • On scalp: PULP RIOT 6, 10, 20 or 30 volume. PROCESS: 20 to 45 minutes at room temperature, checking every 5 minutes until desired results are achieved. No heat. Rinse well.

PREPARATION: • Wear suitable disposable gloves. • Open the pouch with care and remove the powder with provided scoop while keeping the pouch in the upright position. • Prepare the mixture by taking the powder first and then by measuring the developer on top of it. • Mix in a well-ventilated area.

APPLICATION AND RINSING: • Wear suitable disposable gloves. • Do not let product run onto scalp. • Do not leave the product longer than the recommended processing time. • Do not use metallic tools (clips, comb, etc.). • Rinse hair well after development time. • For off scalp applications: When performing highlights with foil application, exclusively use foils ref.

SOFT ALLOY 8079, 20 µm, or SOFT ALLOY 1200, 18 µm (Norms EN 573)

CLAY LIGHTENER WARNINGS For open-air, freehand hair painting techniques DIRECTIONS: In a non-metallic bowl, mix 1:2 (Clay Lightener:Pulp Riot Developer). Paint on the hair using a sweeping motion. No foil or plastic is necessary. Process at room temperature for up to 1 hr. Do not use heat. DEVELOPERS: •Off scalp and hand painting: Pulp Riot 6, 10, 20, 30 or 40 volumes.

PREPARATION: • Wear suitable disposable gloves • Open the pouch with care and remove the powder with provided scoop while keeping the pouch in the upright position. • Prepare the mixture by taking the powder first and then by measuring the developer on top of it. • Mix in a well-ventilated area.

APPLICATION AND RINSING: Wear suitable disposable gloves. Do not let product run onto scalp. Do not leave the product longer than the recommended processing time. Do not use metallic tools (clips, comb, etc.). Rinse hair well after development time.
