Maintenance

The Hydraulic Pump

• After assembly, it is a good idea to pump the hydraulic to full height and back down several times to prime the hydraulic fluid. This will help to keep the pump smooth and responsive

• Note that short, quick pumping is more effective than pressing the lever all the way down each time

• It is advised to periodically check the chair to ensure all fittings are secure

Upholstery Care

• Wipe down the upholstery and metal parts with a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Dry with a clean, soft cloth

• Do not use brushes, scouring aids or any chemicals when cleaning the chair

• If the upholstery becomes stained by coming into contact with fabric, belts, or other items of clothing; wipe off the stain with soap and warm water as soon as possible and dry with a soft cloth

• Dry and polish metal parts using a suitable metal cleaner and a clean, dry cloth

• Keep the chair away from direct sunlight to avoid fading of the fabric

• We recommend using chair back covers as protection

PLEASE NOTE

On occasion some clothing colours, such as those used in denim, may transfer to lighter upholstery. This process increases in more humid conditions and stains can be extremely difficult to remove. Salons Direct cannot be held responsible for colour transfer caused by this process.

Lighter coloured upholstery on chairs is sensitive to staining from aggressive hair chemicals such as hair colour. There is a risk that marks cannot be removed if any chemicals are not cleaned immediately. Stained upholstery due to hair colour and other products cannot be covered by our warranty.

Our furniture is produced with strong resilient faux leather fabric, tested by our manufacturer to ensure strength, memory and heat resistance. We also fit our chairs with high-density foam to ensure continual use, client comfort and sustained durability.
