As a Best of Long Beach Awards Winner for Best Insurance Agent, we decided to catch up with Keir to tell us a little more about what it is like to work in the insurance industry. How did you get into the insurance industry? I’ve been a State Farm policyholder since I turned 16. During one of my annual reviews with my agent, I mentioned that I wanted to start my own business, she suggested I learn more about being an insurance agent. It’s been an amazing journey since then.

to continue to reach their dreams. It is really amazing to be a part of those moments, when my customers buy their first home, start a business, or retire successfully, and it is a result of a plan we have been working on together. What is the best part about your job? I’m able to bring a check. Of course I’m able to be there for my customers when they need to talk. The best part is being able to deliver a large check for them to rebuild after disasters like a fire, water damage, cars totaled, or loss of income hit. If we’ve planned property, we are able to have money in place to make sure that life continues for our clients.

What is your area of expertise? We focus on protecting our customers from the unexpected and helping them achieve their goals. My expertise is in having personal conversations and creating a plan for insurance to protect; budgeting or saving to reach goals for both your home and business, if you have one. We help small business with insurance and workers’ comp. We offer home, auto, commercial, life, and disability products from State Farm.

How do you provide a personalized experience? My team and I are involved in our community, we support our neighborhoods, we live here. The reason that is important is that we are accountable to our customers when they need us.
