Middle & Senior School News Time flies when you are engaged in the process of learning! As I write, our Year 12 students are sitting the first of their QCS tests. This year we started a new tradition with our Year 11 students cooking breakfast for the 12s as a symbol of their support and care for them as they enter these important testing days. The Year 12 students were wellprepared and their results will reflect a cumulative effort of their learning experiences across P-12. Nonetheless, I’d like to acknowledge Mrs Christina Wrigley (Head of Teaching and Learning) and the Year 12 teachers for their tireless efforts towards assisting students to achieve their personal best.

Middle School Administration and (Sick Bay) Relocation From the start of next term, Middle School Administration will be located next to the Junior School Administration in the upper level of that building. This term we appointed a College Nurse (Mrs Corinna Sills), and over the break, work will be completed on the new P-12 Health Centre, located on the ground level of the Junior and Middle Administration block next to the Village Green. All students P-12 who are unwell are to be collected from the Health Centre. THE EDGE A reminder to parents of girls in Year 9 that The Edge program begins on Tuesday 8 October (first day back of Term 4). Students are to wear casual dress (abiding by the casual dress rules that apply on Mufti-Days as listed in the College diary). Students will be based at school on Monday preparing for their Service-Learning projects and need to arrive by 8:30am to meet in the Theatre. Tuesday to Thursday, the students will be undertaking their Service-Learning projects. The Edge program for all Year 9 boys begins on Monday 14 October. Year 12 Formal Our Year 12s will be celebrating their formal on Saturday 19 October at the Royal Pines Resort. Parents are invited to attend pre-dinner drinks starting at 5.30pm.

As this is the final bulletin for Term 3 what is to follow relates to the key dates and information for the last two weeks of Term 3 and the start of Term 4. Best wishes to our Year 7 students who are leaving for Canberra on Monday 16 September. They will undoubtedly enjoy soaking up all of the incredible learning experiences on offer in our Nation’s Capital. The final day of classes for Term 3 is Thursday 19 September. Academic Progress Reports for students in Years 7-12 will be posted home in Week 10. Parents are encouraged to discuss this report with their child and to help him/her to set goals for the start of Term 4.
