Junior School News Arts Week One of my favourite weeks of the school year is Arts Week. It’s an opportunity for students to witness and participate in the Arts. The highlight of the week was the Gala concert where we showcased our very talented students. While some students may have a natural inclination towards photography, visual arts, dancing, acting, singing or playing an instrument, it is very evident that there has been many hours of practice to develop that talent.
Thank you to the Arts teachers who have worked tirelessly to make this week a great success and to the students who participated so enthusiastically. It was a great week. We now look forward to the upcoming eisteddfods. Thank You P&F Thank you to the P&F for the new bubbler that was recently installed under the MPH. It will give lots of cool water to the students who use the MPH and the Years 1-3 students.
New OSHC Service Leader Welcome to Lucya Pierce, our new service leader in the OSHC. We look forward to getting to know you and to your input into our Outside School Hours Care program.
Throughout the week we saw lunchtime concerts where students who participate in PAT lessons, had the experience of performing in front of their peers and other parents. We had an artist in residence who was able to pass on her expertise, a number of Senior School classes ran workshops in the Junior School and also a visiting opera group who entertained the students.
Visiting School from Japan It was great having the students from Gakkyouhin School, Japan visit our College last week. It’s a tremendous opportunity for our students to practice their Japanese and develop their understanding of the Japanese culture.
