CHRISTMAS

Red Kettle Campaign

Volunteer or organize a group of volunteers from your Business, Service Club, Fraternal Group, Family, Friends or Church Group to stand at a local Red Kettle location. You could also choose to stand at a couple of Red Kettles and make a contest of it. The money raised through the Red Kettles go directly to The Salvation Army in Jamestown, NY to help keep our Social Services department running through 2025 and beyond!

Paper Kettles

The Salvation Army's paper kettle is an alternative to the traditional physical Red Kettle, designed for businesses to collect donations at their point-of-sale terminals. These paper "kettles" are typically displayed at checkout counters, where customers can make a donation by having a specific amount, like $1 or $5, added to their purchase. The business provides a way for their customers to support the Salvation Army's programs without requiring a physical bell ringer or cash donations

Countertop Kettles

Allow The Salvation Army to place a small Kettle on a front desk, near a register elsewhere in your place of business, or on your dinner table at your Thanksgiving Feast! These would need to be kept in a safe location at your site and would be emptied at the end of the Season, unless otherwise requested

Kettle Sponsorships

You can sponsor a kettle by providing a monetary gift. We have four levels: Pewter ($500.00), Bronze ($1,000.00), Silver ($5,000.00) and Gold ($10,000.00). With these sponsorships we will promote your business on a Kettle site stand

Angel Tree Program

Each October & November & part of December, there is opportunity for people to come into our office and apply for assistance of holiday toys for their children 12 & under. After the applications are completed, a paper Angel is then filled out for each child listed on the applications. These Angels are then sent out to Businesses, Banks, Offices, and even picked up by families directly from us, throughout Chautauqua County for customers / clients to take and purchase a toy for the child listed.

You can help with this by allowing us to place Angels in your place of business during the months of November and December. Then your customers, clients and employees can take these Angels, purchase a gift for the specified child, and return the toys to The Salvation Army.

Adopt A Family

Individuals, Families and Businesses, each year, can adopt an entire family for Christmas. This differs from the Angels in that every member of the family is given to the Sponsor, including the parent(s) & child(ren). We ask that Sponsors provide at least 2 gifts per person in the family (suggestions will be given) and also provide the fixings for a Christmas Dinner for that family. Sponsors may request several families if they are interested in helping more than one. Once all items for your Adopted family have been purchased, bring everything to The Salvation Army for distribution.

CHRISTMAS

Food Drives

A traditional food drive allows you to collect food donations. You can involve your family and friends as well as your workplace or other organizations to collect canned food or other nonperishable items. This allows you to make an impact in the fight against hunger. You can drop them off between the hours of 8am-4pm or you can arrange a pick-up by calling the Church. You could also help by collecting turkeys and ham for the holiday season.
