Woman of Character Swaziland

WOC Swaziland has been set to meet on a monthly basis. Each session is characterised by a presentation or activity that will appeal to at least two areas of our lives e.g. business and emotions, or family and empowerment. Sessions are structured in this way based on the principle that Global Business Roundtable ‘focuses on the holistic development of a person in line with Gods plan for His Kingdom’. As a means of growing WOC, the committee resolved to have sessions alternate between the two cities (Mbabane and Manzini) to build capacity and market

WOC in both cities. Meetings are taking place monthly as planned and hope to have good growth in numbers in the future. WOC has changed its operatus memoranda according to the WOC International requirement. All WOC chapters are expected to have activities that centre on ladies or some form of activity. It is not to be a copy of a GBR session. In line with this, WOC Swaziland subsequently had a giving session and an afternoon tea in May and June respectively. WOC ladies gave an elderly woman groceries worth over E1500 and 2 blankets in the giving session. The afternoon tea was held at a member’s house and the session was over Money Mistakes. The committee has observed that WOC is viewed to be a certain age limited department. This being addressed by having all inclusive activities and will be evaluated quarterly. The attendance numbers at WOC sessions is inconsistent. The committee resolved that WOC sessions will always take place as planned regardless of the number of attendees. The form of communication and limited marketing of WOC sessions is a factor to the ability to grow the attendance at sessions. The committee in the second half of 2014 has planned to try go into social networks as a means of drawing attention to WOC.

Leadership Structure:

WOC Swaziland has a seven member committee. Due to the low number of ladies, the committee resolved that the above members act Roundtable representatives until each roundtable is enabled to have its own WOC committee. Ezulwini and Simunye WOC representative are still to be appointed.

Global Fund for Christ (GFFC) and WOC

WOC Swaziland is in the process of identifying ways on how to contribute to the core mandate of GFFC. The
