Eiffel Tower was built for 2 things: the French Revolution and to honor Alexandre Gustave Eiffel.The Wright brothers had taken off in their first biplane in Paris, France the same place were the Eiffel Tower was built. The Eiffel Tower built for the international Exhibition of Paris of 1889 commemorating the centenary of French Revolution. It gained such importance to the French people that there was no more thought of demolishing it.
