Master of Science in Cyber Security Program Overview The MS in Cyber Security at Saint Peter’s University is a cutting-edge graduate program that trains the next generation of cybersecurity experts. Taught by our faculty, which are also industry professionals, we educate and provide hands-on training to students in the latest cybersecurity and digital forensics, including working with them on research projects using advanced cryptography and blockchain technologies. Our 30-credit STEM-designated program was designed for working professionals and students with a Bachelor’s degree. Focusing on cyber security and risk, mobile computing and wireless, ethical hacking, and more, our graduates are provided with career pathways and leave ready to excel in the professional world.

With our state-of-the-art Cyber Security Center that was designed with the National Cyber Security Center of Excellence, you can take lessons from the classroom and apply them immediately to your career. In as fast as 18 months, you’ll learn how to defend information systems from cyber-attacks, how to recover compromised systems, how to architect secure networks, and so much more.

With cyber threats and attacks increasing in both frequency and sophistication, the demand for qualified cybersecurity professionals is far outpacing the supply. According to Forbes, there will be 1.8 million unfilled cybersecurity jobs by 2022. Additionally, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has projected a 32% growth in demand for cybersecurity experts, with employment projections expected to grow 55% through 2028.

Cyber Security Center Developed in collaboration with the National Cyber Security Center, our Cyber Security Center provides a hands-on opportunity for students to analyze risk and simulate defensive tactics from new and existing threats. Offering access to Apache, SANS, Forensics Investigative Toolkit Workstation, and more, students learn the software and tools that will be used to protect cyber environments in the professional world.
