Tot and Parent Play This class was formerly known as Wiggle Waggle Worms. Children and adults share songs, play games and participate in age-appropriate obstacle courses. Active parent participation and socks required. Age:

Children will use large building blocks indoors and outdoors (at our enclosed, sensory playground) to stimulate hand-eye coordination and imagination. Cognitive and social skills are also developed. Parent participation required.

Visual Arts

Creative Dance Instructors from Sahuarita Dance Center teach children basic dance, coordination, rhythm, music and socialization skills. The spring session ends with a showcase on May 25.

Engage in artistic experiences with a different medium each month. Students will be provided all materials and participate in an art showcase after each session. Age:

Bicycling: Green Valley Senior Games March 1 • 9 a.m. • Quail Creek-Veterans Municipal Park The Senior Games are open to the public with 32 events for adults ages 50 and older. Sahuarita Parks and Recreation partners with Green Valley Recreation to host the 4 and 12 mile bicycling event. Race times and registration at www.gvrec.org

Dog Shot Clinic Feb. 16 • 1 - 3 p.m. • Anamax Recreation Center In partnership with the Humane Society of Arizona, your dog can receive shots and microchips. First 25 rabies vaccines free for Sahuarita Residents.

Fiesta Sahuarita March 30 • 12 - 6 p.m. • Anamax Park Mark your calendars to celebrate the Town’s 25th year of incorporation. There will be rides, activities for children and families, music, entertainment, food for sale, exhibits from local businesses and non-profit organizations. Exciting things are in store for Fiesta Sahuarita; you won’t want to miss this event! Free.

Live Music at the Lake 1st Saturday • Evenings • Sahuarita Lake Park Enjoy live music at the lake. Check www.sahuaritaaz.gov/events for current performer lineup and start times. Free.

Spring Festival April 20 • 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. • Anamax Park, Field 4 Celebrate Spring with egg hunts, activities, food trucks, and our favorite rabbit—the Easter Bunny. Free.

Park and Play 2nd and 4th Saturday • 9 - 11 a.m. • Jan. - Anamax; Feb. - North Santa Cruz; March - Quail Creek; April - Parque los Arroyos Join us for games and outdoor fun. We bring all the equipment for an active play date. Suitable for ages 6+; 8 years and younger, please bring an adult. Free.

Drop-In Adult Fitness Argentine Tango

Learn basic steps, tango techniques, and floor craft. No dance experience or partner required. Come in and start dancing!

Body Balance Chair Yoga Mindful movement, focused breath and guided meditation provide a great way to get the body moving for those who are disabled, recovering from an injury, or have limited mobility.

Dance Cardio Love to dance but hate to exercise? Dance Cardio is a low-impact class that combines easy-to-follow dance moves along with light-weight cardio routines.

FiTBody A mix of basic, full-body fitness elements that include interval and circuit training along with body sculpting, cardio dance and mat science.

Hatha Yoga Practicing yoga provides strength, stamina, flexibility and relaxation. Learn to deal with stress, be content, and be grateful, living in the moment. All levels of students are welcome.

Nia® Tone your body and transform your mind with a combination of dance and martial arts that will leave you energized and balanced.

Pilates Plus Practice controlled exercises that engage the mind and condition the body. Blending strength and flexibility training improves posture, reduces stress and creates long, lean muscles without the bulk.

Pound® is the world’s first cardio jam session inspired by the infectious, energizing and sweat-dropping fun of playing the drums!

FEES for drop-in classes vary and are paid directly to the instructor at the time of class.

Senior Cardio Boxing Specifically for active adults. Focus on hand-eye coordination, balance, rhythm and fitness. Ask the instructor how this class may help minimize symptoms associated with Parkinson’s disease.

Silver Sneakers®

Improve muscular strength and range of motion in a full body workout to enhance your daily activities. Use light weights, resistance bands, and balance balls; exercise while seated.

Stability Ball Strength

Provides core strengthening for posture, mobility, balance and tone. Students must bring a stability ball.

Zumba®

A fitness class with a fun, party-like atmosphere filled with music and dance movements to tone and sculpt the body. A blend of cardio and muscle-toning movements.
