Tin Men and the Telephone present a new immersive multimedia performance that combines improvised music, visuals, and audience participation via a smartphone app to address the very timely topic of climate change in a uniquely interactive, fun and thought-provoking way.

Jazz guitarist Jamie Mackay leads a masterclass looking at improvisation through the lens of jazz theory. Explore a range of styles and leave the session with knowledge of chord progressions and improvisation techniques. All instruments welcome. 18+

As the grandson of trumpeter Doc Cheatham, and former student of legendary jazz trumpeter Donald Byrd, New Generation US Jazz trumpeter Theo Croker is an artist steeped in jazz tradition. Well-versed in the swing and bop, Theo’s own music reveals a love of funk, soul, and gooey, groove-oriented hip-hop.

Acclaimed pianist and composer Sarah Nicolls‘ new Inside-Out Piano recital was instigated by the 2018 report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, giving us 12 years to take drastic action on emissions. With her striking vertical grand piano, Nicolls combines original music and recorded speech in a compelling performance.

Shri Sriram, a BASCA British Composer Award winner was pioneer of the Asian Underground scene with Outcaste Records and groundbreaking electronic/ trip-hop duo Badmarsh & Shri. He’ll perform tracks from his latest album The Letter with an allstar line-up of jazz accomplices Bugge Wesseltoft, Ben Castle and Asaf Sirkis.

Fronted by Nigerian singer Eno Williams, Ibibio Sound Machine is a clash of African and electronic elements inspired in equal measure by the golden era of WestAfrican funk & disco and modern post-punk & electro. House Gospel Choir is an electrifying House meets Gospel experience.

Jasper Høiby created the trio Phronesis in 2005, winning a myriad of awards including Jazz Album of the Year’ in Jazzwise and MOJO Magazines. Jasper Høiby’s Planet B, takes compositional skills into thrillingly uncharted territory, combining the dynamism and warmth of his acoustic tones with expansive soundscapes.

A Jazz FM Awards Best Female Vocalist nominee, Judi Jackson possesses all the qualities held by the greats astounding range, immaculate pitch and that indefinable ‘thing’. A protégé of renowned trumpeter and bandleader Wynton Marsalis, her material is influenced by folk, pop, R&B and neosoul as well as jazz.
