This common issue occurs when your device can’t communicate with the DNS server that translates web addresses into IPs. Causes include network congestion, outdated DNS cache, router glitches, firewall restrictions, or misconfigured internet settings.
Start with simple troubleshooting. Restart your router, modem, and computer. This clears temporary data, resets your network connection, and often resolves minor communication issues between your system and the DNS server automatically.
Open Command Prompt and run ipconfig /flushdns to clear cached entries. Then reset TCP/IP settings using netsh int ip reset. These commands refresh your network configuration and fix corrupted DNS data instantly.
If the issue continues, switch to reliable public DNS servers like Google (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1). You can also temporarily disable firewall or antivirus programs blocking DNS queries, then re-enable them after configuration.
