Science and Open Culture are currently soaking toghether into the diverse fields that matter with design related knowledge. The ongoing democratization process that makes scientific disciplines and investigation tools accessible by non-scientists community enables designers, architects and makers to manipulate scientific discoveries thanks to digital tools. The relevant potential emerging by the use of digital tools to design has required a big cognitive effort in order to let the non-scientific community expanding the design fields horizons. Not only cognitive, it has been also a collective and collaborative effort that has been accomplished through web platforms for sharing and confrontation.
