Christel House South Africa is a non-pro t school which o ers no-fee scholarships to students from some of Cape Town’s most under-resourced communities and support them for 19 years (Grade RR to Grade 12 and ve years post-school) through character-based and career-focused education. Our bene ciaries include 840+ students from grade RR to 12, 220+ post-school students and more than 10,000+ parents and other members of the communities we serve.
Our mission: Christel House prepares graduates to achieve upward economic mobility, demonstrate good citizenship, and become empowered to identify and realise their goals, dreams, and human potential.

In-kind donations to Christel House are tax deductible in terms of Section 18A of the Income Tax Act of 1962. As such, individuals and businesses qualify to receive a tax certi cate for the value of the item(s) donated. Businesses can also receive BEE points for their contributions. An annual stipend to support a nancially vulnerable, qualifying graduate with essentials (transport, food, etc.). Stipends range from R740 per month to R350 once-o allocations to new working graduates. These stipends are crucial lifelines for graduates who often do not receive nancial support from their parents/guardians/ family when at university or starting o in a new career.

Our holistic education model is designed to transform the lives of impoverished children. In addition to providing top quality CAPS-aligned education, key aspects of our model include poverty mitigation services in the form of daily transport to school and back, professional health care, nutritious meals, psychosocial counselling, family assistance and college and careers planning and support.
