BAYSIDE HIGH SCHOOL KEY CLUB

The Light the Night event was truly an enchanting experience as Key Clubbers, supporters, and survivors all came together to provide solidarity and raise funds for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Bring Light to the Darkness of Cancer event. Standing there, in the crowd of people, as we all listened to the stories of those who struggled and persevered, I could feel the atmosphere as it was a sentimental moment of holding both feelings of compassion and a strong drive to help combat cancer. Everyone should definitely go to the Light the Night event to experience the wave of strength and encouragement as we all turned on our lanterns of the colors red (supporter), white (survivor), and gold (remembrance for a loved one), and walked alongside one another throughout the park. This event is definitely one of my most favorite events!!

I had a lot of fun because I was able to get the arcade hangout experience and it was really fun because i was allowed to try out a lot of different arcade games. We were also able to take a lot of good pictures which was a lot of fun too! I’d definitely recommend this type of event to future keyclub members!!

The Autumn Dance Celebration was a very fun and exciting event. I was able to help out with setting up tables and stands for the event. I was also able to assist with the hayrides (and also got to ride on them!). The event was very joyful as I was able to see so many different cultures celebrating their uniqueness along with being able to enjoy a lot of the event myself.

I had a really fun time helping out with my friends at the Decorate the Castle event in Fort Totten. It was a great experience decorating the Christmas tree while we joked around about the weird ornaments we found in the boxes, all with Christmas music playing the the background. It’s definitely not an event I will be forgetting anytime soon.

The Ronald Mcdonald House was so cool! The building felt very modern which is always nice. The volunteering activity itself was very fun. I always love to cook and bake even when I’m not that great at it. Having fun, putting on music and making jokes with eachother, the vibe was very pleasant. Overall, it was a very nice experience and I would love to do it again.
