Our talented and professional Decor Pros will guide you through the 3,800 square foot Studio, (located in our corporate head office in Vaughan), and showcase beautiful standard and upper tier finishes that will inspire the interior designer inside of you.

When you purchase a new home, you have the opportunity to create your dream home and we are here to help it come to life. From selecting stunning tile and hardwood flooring, to narrowing down our quality cabinetry options, our team helps you discover your interior design style. We are with you every step of the way and our Decor Studio illustrates the level of personalization and customization we encourage at OPUS Homes.

DECOR YOU WILL LOVE

We encourage you to look through design magazines and websites, collecting images of your favourite colours and patterns so we can get a sense of your style before you meet us for your decor appointment. Visiting our website and viewing the photo gallery will also be a very helpful tool for your consideration and inspiration. We also have a handy online calculator to estimate the monthly cost of your choices and a list of FAQs.

YOUR DECOR APPOINTMENT

When you book an appointment, our Decor Pros will prepare for your visit with decor options to suit your lifestyle. As an OPUS Client, you will be emailed an online Wish List Portal where you can view the options available to you from the comfort of your own home. OPUS Clients will have two types of meetings with your Pro: Tier 1 appointments will include any electrical, mechanical, plumbing and minor structural changes in the home, and Tier 2 appointments will be focused on selecting and finalizing colour and decor selections.

KITCHEN PARTIES

Everyone knows that the heart of the home is the kitchen - the place where everyone gathers and mingles, celebrates birthdays, talks about their day, and creates some of their favourite memories. Hosting friends and families in your new home for the first time is most certainly a key memory for a lot of people, and here at OPUS Homes, we want to make it a great one! When designing your kitchen, keeping its functionality in mind is key, as well as understanding that each person’s needs will be different, kitchen to kitchen – finding what works for you is our main goal. If you are someone who likes entertaining or spending a large chunk of your day

and evenings with your guests in the kitchen, this is something to keep in mind during your design process. If this sounds like you, maybe consider more island countertop space with a durable surface to allow for additional seating or more room to stand around and catch up. Also, think about how you want to configure your cupboards and cabinets to accommodate your needs and wants. Last, but certainly not least, think about lighting. Lighting can make a major impact on the atmosphere of your kitchen space, so you’ll want to plan and place it accordingly to be well suited during any time of the day or night.

Speaking of entertaining, the hosts with the most always have a quick go-to dish on standby for whenever guests come to visit – but, since this is your new home and you may not have thought of your go-to dish yet, not to worry, we have thought of something quick, easy and enjoyable that might do the trick!

A CHARCUTERIE BOARD

The beauty of these, is that you can customize your charcuterie board however you like – but, in case you’re stuck, here are a couple of key ingredients to help you get started:

Various cheeses Some of our personal favourites are Brie, Asiago, and small bocconcini.

Cured Meats We’re thinking prosciutto, salami, and sausage.

Olives and Nuts Go... nuts! Pretty much any nuts do the trick here.

Fruit Smaller berries usually work best.

Dried Fruits Apricots and figs are a fan favourite.

Crackers or Small Slices of Bread Anything goes here, just make sure it’s good for dipping!

Jelly or Jam Get creative, try a jam that you maybe haven’t tried before, you might surprise yourself and really impress your guests in the process.

Special Touches The beauty of these boards is that they are completely customizable! You can add as little or as much as you want, and switch it up based on the occasion or guest preferences. If you’re looking to be a bit creative, try adding something like mini pickles or garnishing with herbs.

Serenity in the Bathroom

When you close that door, run that hot water, and step in for a bath or shower, you’re washing reality away and living in a blissful moment. As you’re planning your bathrooms, we recommend considering cupboards and vanities that make things easy to store and access so you don’t have to empty them to find what you want. We talk about things like shower heads and glass showers, and of course, there’s floor feel

and colour. When you step out of the tub onto your heated floor and look down at your clean feet, you want them framed just right. As you move along the process, our Decor Pros will guide you through making the right decisions for every square inch of your bathroom.

Crawling into a clean, neatly made bed is one of life’s great joys. You feel much more cozy and comfortable when the sheets are freshly cleaned. The smoothness of the sheets on your skin can’t be underestimated as a contributor to a great night’s sleep and to the level of hospitality your guests will feel whether it’s conscious or not. We recommend investing in good sheets with high thread counts that will stay true over multiple washes. As you plan your bedrooms’ storage options, consider a shelf or drawer just for your linens. They will make changing your sheets less tedious.
