Arts Centre Team Open Shop to Help Entertain Locals
Music, drama, cinema and the arts in the local area have received a major boost this month with the creation of a pioneering new charity.
Arts North Norfolk (ANN) aims to bring a wide range of entertainment, culture and arts classes for all to venues large and small throughout the district.
Heading the new venture is Joseph Ballard, director of The Atrium arts centre in North Walsham for the past two years.
The Atrium will still be used for large arts events – including cinema, concerts and festivals - but as a first move “back to the community” a new base for ANN has opened at1 Market Place, North Walsham, the former Dragonfly clothes shop.
Mr Ballard said “Our shop will sell film and show tickets, register people for projects and classes and we will even host smaller events and classes in the shop itself.”
