Cromer’s New Years Day Fireworks launches Photography Competition Cromer’s New Year’s Day Fireworks committee is launching a new photography competition to mark the 14th year of the annual display in 2013 which began in 2000.
The competition is open to children, adults, amateur and professionals alike, so come along to Cromer on New Year’s Day, bring your camera, photograph the event and get creative.
It is hoped that everyone from children to artists and community groups to ambitious individuals will enter and get involved in this fabulous event.
The winner of the competition will have their image turned into the official poster for the 2014 New Years Day Firework event as well as use in other promotional material. There will also be a host of further prizes yet to be announced.
Chairman of the Fireworks committee Jim Bond said “the annual New Year's Day Fireworks have been capturing people's imagination for over ten years, every year we see hundreds of fabulous photographs of the event in the press and online. We thought it would be great to launch the photography competition to inspire more people and to capture this fantastic event. We are looking for photographs that really capture the spirit of the event."
