Briefing with the Federal Migration Service Sheraton Palace Hotel, Moscow, 10 September 2013 On 10th September, RBCC Moscow held a Federal Migration Service (FMS) briefing, in conjunction with the British Business Club (BBC). The briefing focused on changes to Russian migration legislation and was held at the Sheraton Palace Hotel. The presentation was led by Ekaterina Egorova, State Secretary and First Deputy Director of the Federal Migration Sevice, and several of her colleagues, and was held in front of an audience of British business-people. Attendees greeted news about the latest FMS initiatives with great interest and enthusiasm – particularly plans to modernise and streamline the process for foreigners arriving into Russia. The briefing was not only a useful update for delegates about upcoming changes to the legislation, but also helped FMS representatives to understand the various issues faced by British citizens working and living in Russia. The impact of this was soon apparent in the form of a number of changes, including the addition of English language to several documents, where previously only Russian had been used. We should like to thank the Federal Migration Service and all those who took part in this event for their support.
