A little mystery never hurts, but for those of you that are curious to know, here are five things that are certainly true about Russian women.

When people find out I’m Russian they ask me pretty amazing questions:
DOES IT EVER STOP SNOWING IN RUSSIA? DO RUSSIAN BEARS INDEED RIDE UNICYCLES? DO RUSSIANS DRINK ANYTHING BUT VODKA?

ARE ALL RUSSIAN WOMEN SUPER MODELS? There are tons of stereotypes about Russian women, some think we are all beautiful, others imagine us more like villain spies from the Bond movies. I like to leave my acquaintances in the dark about the bears, snow, and booze, but the last question always makes me laugh.

WE LIKE TO DRESS UP.
A LOT!
If you’ve ever seen a well dressed woman wearing high heels while walking down the street, shopping at the mall, or picking-up groceries, the chances are she was probably Russian. Every Russian woman has at least one pair of bad heels in her closet. We like to look good, whether for church service on Sunday, for work on Monday, or the grocery store on a Tuesday. No matter how old we get, we always take care of ourselves and try to look stylish, diligent, and sometimes a little overdressed.

Food is a big part of our culture. We cook at home and love to share meals with friends and family. If you come over to our house we won’t let you go until we feed you. It’s just the way we are, so you better come hungry.
WE APPRECIATE REAL GENTLEMEN.
PERIOD.
Russian women are pretty self-sufficient. We can provide for ourselves, move furniture around the house, or repaint the walls in our bedroom. But when it comes to relationship we appreciate men that make us feel like real women. It can be little things such as opening doors for us, helping us carry heavy bags, or picking up the tabs in restaurants. No matter how independent we are, it always feels good to have a real man next to us.
WE WILL BE COURTEOUS TO YOUR FAMILY.

Family values are big in Russia. We were raised with the deepest respect for our parents and a big regard for our relatives. We were taught to be there for each other for life, celebrating the good times and supporting each other through hardships. We will show the same respect and loyalty to you and your loved ones if you become a part of our family.
