RIVERS ď‚— Almost all Poland pour northward, to the Baltic Sea
by the Vistula, the Oder and the tributaries of these two great rivers. The longest river of Poland is the Vistula, 1,047 km in length, which washes around the half of the country's. Born in the Tatra mountains in the extreme southern Center of Poland.

ANCIENT HISTORY OF POLAND
ď ś The history of Poland begins with a legend that talks about three brothers: Lech, Czech and Rus. These three brothers came with their tribes to the land between the Vistula and Oder Real castle in Cracovia rivers where, in one of the hills saw an Eagle's nest. Lech decided to stay there and form their own country with a White Eagle in their coat of arms. His brothers decided to leave and just as Lech to form their own countries. Czech went to the South where he established the Czech Republic and Rus went to the East where he was Russia.
THE SECOND WORLD WAR IN POLAND ď‚— On September 1, 1939, Germany invaded Poland.
Poland was under control until the end of the war German there Germany placed numerous concentration camps and destroyed most of the old districts of major cities. 2 very important films have been made by this sad event: the pianist and the child of the striped pajamas.

are common in other parts of Europe, but not others. Wolves and grizzly bears live in the high mountains, while elk and deer are quite numerous in areas of lakes, grouse, ptarmigan and black storks inhabit areas of the marshes
