Radiating Heat… And Bright New Ideas

RRNews Issue 14

Ecolec has been providing its core range of radiant panel electric heaters since 1995 and has built up a major niche market with multiple repeat sales around the UK. But it’s in the innovative areas of the business that MD Chandru Ray and Ecolec have made their mark in recent years, offering ground breaking new ways of utilising radiant heating. It should come as no great surprise that Ecolec is launching a new product - Disc Heat™ - which offers any number of suspended circular ceiling radiators, ideal for larger open spaces and for where the wall space is either taken or in open plan homes and buildings. Disc Heat™ is ideal for a wide range of potential uses – restaurants, car showrooms, offices, cinemas, schools, leisure centres – the options are endless. Linked to remote controls, the level of warmth can be altered to meet the requirements of the building and the use of the spaces – it’s a very quick response method of heating. Sutton War Memorial Respectfully Restored Using Natural Solutions From Brett The expertise of Brett Landscaping in natural stone was instrumental in helping to restore a historical touchstone in time for the World War One centenary commemorations in November 2014. Brett Landscaping worked with property design consultancy NPS Group to recondition a 93 year old war memorial in Sutton-on-Hull village located in the West Riding of Yorkshire, in advance of the local community’s remembrance activities. “While the memorial has been maintained superbly by Sutton-on-Hull’s community, it was in need of improvement in a structural capacity,” explains Howard Thompson, building surveyor at NPS. He brought Brett on board in both a supply and advisory capacity, after receiving positive colleague feedback with regard to Brett’s material quality and design input.
