Check out this walkaround quick view of this SWEET STRTCAR! Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, cars have been a part of Jordan Manning,s life as long as he can recall. Baer Brakes

December 2023 | RPM Magazine
Growing up, he watched fast cars in his community knowing he’d be behind the wheel of on someday, and by the time he was 17 he started street racing and never looked back. After spending 9 years in the Kansas Army National
Guard as a diesel mechanic, by age 23 Jordan opened his own automotive repair and performance shop, Manning Automotive, and now 28, he has 5 fulltime employees. When Manning got into street racing, he jumped from car to car and because Wichita was small enough he knew most of the cars in play. A 2004 Mustang with a solid reputation came up for sale and Jordan made the move to acquire it.

Being from Wichita, Jordan knew most of the serious cars in the game and when he saw this one come on the market as a roller, he snapped it up. The ’04 retains most of its stock body and was fitted with a 2003 Cobra front end, custom rear wing and carbon cowl hood. The Cobra front looks wicked and makes a fitting place for the bullhorn exhaust to exit the body.
Kinsler Fuel Injection
“I bought the car as a roller and over the past two years it eventually was reborn into a heavy street hitter,” Manning said. “Growing up street racing, running Wichita’s ‘list’ and
hosting cash days at a young age, it was time for me to step my game up. I’m incredibly proud to say I built this car at 23-25 years old with zero sponsors, just me and my shop.”
The ’04 retains most of its stock body and was fitted with a 2003 Cobra front end. A custom rear wing and carbon cowl hood were also added into the mix and painted gun metal gray to match. Although the front clip is minus it’s original Cobra contents, it 14
looks wicked and does make a fitting place for the bullhorn exhaust to exit the body. A Chromoly 10pt cage protects Jordan and the car was also upfitted with a tubular front end with double adjustable struts and subframe connectors.
December 2023 | RPM Magazine
Jordan says the sound of the bullhorns at 7,400 RPM is music to the ears during a run, and also commented that it’s actually not that loud inside the car on the street.

Rear suspension-wise, the typical upgrades including adjustable control arms were made and rear shocks are double adjustable coilovers. The factory 8.8 rear end was used and fortified with a host of parts, including Moser axles, spool and 4.30 gear set. Purists, cover your ears for this part. The heartbeat for this Ford, and we can use “heartbeat” correctly in this case, is a Chevrolet LSX.

The ported cast intake was plumbed by Kyle Buckmaster with two NX kits, spraying a little over a 300HP shot each, (yep we said each) and a set of Fuel Injector Clinic injectors. A Holley EFI throttle body tops the high-winding Bowtie and the package is controlled by a Holley EFI HP system.
Jordan Manning’s Nitrous LSX 2004 Ford Mustang GT ■ Body & Paint: OEM body with Seibon carbon fiber cowl hood, custom wing and 2003 Cobra front bumper. Bumper exit bullhorns.
■ Chassis Modifications: Chromoly 10pt cage, tubular front end and subframe connectors.
■ Suspension: Strange double adjustables all around, the rest is just typical equipment; adjustable control arms etc.
■ Engine: LSX iron block based motor built by Jason Novacek Automotive and Machine. 12.5:1 compression, 434 cubic inches. Motor dynoed without nitrous made 763 hp on pump gas. Molnar crank, Manley rods, CP pistons, Total Seal Rings, Bullet solid roller cam
■ Cylinder Heads: PRC heads ported by O’Neill Porting and machining, Jesel shaft mount rockers.
■ Induction & Fuel Delivery: Fuel Injector Clinic injectors, Holley EFI fuel pump setup, all controlled by Holley EFI HP system.
■ Power Adder: Intake plumbed by Kyle Buckmaster, two NX kits, both kits spraying a little over 300 shot each.
■ Transmission: Powerglide with a 1.80 straight cut gear and 9.5" bolt-together Neal Chance torque convertor.
■ Rear End: Factory 8.8 built and serviced by Brian Walden. Moser axles and 4.30 rear gear,
■ Tires & Wheels: True small tire car, 28x10.5 NON W. Keizer Racing wheels.

■ Interior: Holley EFI touch screen dash, VFN fiberglass dash, race seats, Motion Raceworks steering wheel and column, TCS shifter, as much of the stock interior as possible has been ratained.
■ ET & MPH: Street raced grudge car, details in article.
■ Most Unique Feature(s): The car is still a full interior street car, I drive this thing a lot, it even has back seats, working windows, etc., meanwhile it has bullhorn exhaust. I really enjoy the sounds it makes at 7500+ rpm, but overall it’s pretty quiet in the car. Also have you seen “candles lit”? It doesn't get much better than that.
■ Build Timeline: Well does it really ever end? It took two years to get running but every year it gets faster and more upgrades. Soon I’ll be doing a new suspension setup and really trying to get some long travel out of the front.
■ Most Memorable Experience With The Car: I think the most memorable day I have with the car was the first time we took it out in 2019 to a large small tire street race, this was a legal event in Coffeyville Kansas. The car at the time was a carbureted 413ci aluminum LS deal on a 315 shot, and it was WORKING that day. We had beaten Cody Hoffman first round and some really fast locals, my crew (Rank and Rhys) and friends were hyping me up. We really didn't expect the car to be as fast as it was. I eventually broke the transmission in the semifinals against Beater Bomb, oh well live and learn. Also when we won two episodes on Street Outlaws was fun.
■ Thanks To: Cali Nate has really been a blessing this year getting it to work the way it does, he tunes the car. I'd also like to thank TJ Johnson for all of his help over the years with nitrous, as well as Jason Rank for being my biggest motivator. Beyond that my entire crew at Manning Automotive, if it weren't for them this wouldn't be possible. ICT Wire Works (Nathan Parks) also rewired the entire car and is always there to help no matter what. Without these guys this car wouldn't be what it is.
Despite being a grudge, no time and street race car, Jordan is fairly open with information as he figures results speak for themselves. Starting with an iron LSX block, Jason Novacek Automotive and Machine built a 12.5:1 compression 434-incher that, running on pump gas without nitrous, made 763 horsepower on the dyno!

car has been much faster testing at the track, and gone an 8 second pass on the brakes at 96 mph in the 1/4. It is a street raced grudge car, so that's about all I can give ya, other than its way nastier with both guns lit!”

Yes, there is actually a dedicated Drag Race Hall of Fame in Canada.
Doug Box adds his name to the prestigious Inductees Book
As a registered non-profit organization, the Canadian Drag Race Hall of Fame’s mission is to recognize the extraordinary achievements and contributions of Canadians to the sport of drag racing. The Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame (CDRHF) was founded in 2015 by John Scotti, a prominent figure in the Canadian car industry and amateur racer. John worked for John Dingman – one of the top mechanics for performance racing engines – when he was 16 years old and when he heard the news of his passing years later, he wanted to pay tribute to him and his fellow drag racers. The Director of the Hall of Fame is Bob Aubertin whose passion and commitment to the sport’s growth has spanned more than 50 years. Bob is recognized for his work as past President of the South Super Snakes Ford Drag Club, as track announcer at Napierville Dragway and Sanair in Quebec, as NHRA major event announcer and Division 1 Director for UBRA in Canada. The CDRHF pays tribute to worldclass Canadian drag racing legends from ‘on’ and ‘off ’ the track at an annual Gala and by collecting and preserving a permanent exhibit of memorabilia, artifacts and equipment in a dedicated museum in Montreal, Quebec. During the Gala, inductees are honoured by their peers, family and friends. They are presented with a custom tailored ‘Blue Blazer’ bearing the
Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame logo and a personalized Hall of Fame ring. Extensive media outreach in Canada and the US is also conducted to garner exposure for these noteworthy sportsmen. On November 4th, 2023, RPM Mag had the privilege of not only attending this year’s ceremonies, but one of our own, Editor In Chief, and Founder of RPM Magazine, Chris Biro was inducted, along with over a dozen other standouts in the northern Drag Race scene. “We were blessed to have Jim McHarg and Tracy Tompkins, Kristie Biro and Jesse Demers, Tia Biro and
Ty Henry, Tim and Shari Biro, Scott Foster and Teya Cousineau with us for the ceremony. Thanks for all making the long journey to Montreal to be there with us,” said Trish Biro, VP of Sales & Marketing for RPM. The location offered the opportunity to visit some amazing sights. Among those were John Scotti’s Car Collection which provided insight into an amazing collection of vintage, muscle, race, prestige, limited edition and classic cars. “Garth (Car Collection Mechanic and Chief Detailer) was on hand and he gave us a personal tour of the entire facility filled with over 140 unique vehicles,” Biro added.

The legendary Montreal 1976 Olympic Stadium was also a must-see when in the area. The Gala was held at John Scotti’s Lamborghini dealership. An amazing venue full of exotic horsepower, a perfect backdrop to an energy filled evening with a host of Inductees, live music, an amazing meal and tons of great stories and rekindling of friendships. RPM Magazine would like to thank John Scotti for opening up his Car Collection and his Dealership for the Gala and tour. Also, 32
a huge thanks to Bob Aubertin, Director of the CDRHF. Thanks Bob! And also to the selection committee made up of well-known industry professionals from across Canada. We also wish to congratulate all of the Inductees to the CDRHF. Your contributions to the sport are/have been greatly appreciated. “It was an honour to stand among the 2023 inductees and the families of those inducted posthumously,” RPM Editor In Chief Chris Biro said. “I am humbled to be recognized by my Canadian peers

It's not often that you get to see such a breathtaking collection of Lamborghinis in one spot. This part of the showroom was a very popular area before and after the induction ceremony.
Watch Chris Biro's speech
for our contribution to drag racing worldwide over the past 25 years through RPM Magazine. The Gala was filled with over 150 people most of whom I knew in one way or another. As magazine and web media dedicated to drag racing, ours is a different engagement with people. We not only get to interact with every single person and company in the industry on a personal level, but we also have the opportunity to bring them to life
in articles in RPM read by hundreds of thousands of people each year. I can honestly say that this has been an incredible journey…as I said at the conclusion of my acceptance speech; here we are, RPM Magazine, 25 years of smoke and gears…cocked, locked and ready to rock for 25 more! Thank you once again.” So without further ado, we're proud to present the 2023 Inductees to the Canadian Drag Racing Hall of Fame.

Neale Armstrong Neale Armstrong has been involved with the sport of drag racing from a young age, as he grew up within close proximity to Dragway Park in Kohler, Ontario. When he was old enough, he got his first job at Dragway Park and in 1990 he began working as a Head Starter at Dragway Park. In 1996, he founded the Canadian Drag Racing Series, featuring the newly established pro/modified, top/ dragster, and top/sportsman classes, garnering significant success in Ontario and Quebec. Notably, he initiated the only multi-track Canadian drag racing series on a pro car level with cooperation among tracks. In 2001, he returned to racing by driving a Jet Dragster in Lou Brookman’s “Chariot of Fire” with his best run being 5.17 ET @ 302 MPH and in 2010, Armstrong advocated for the NHRA Canadian Nitro Nationals. Today, he races with his self-designed Jet Dragster “Northern Warrior”. With an impressive track record as Toronto Motorsports Park's long-serving track manager, he stands as the only Canadian to have collaborated with NHRA, IHRA, and AHRA.
Bob Atchison
Rob Atchison
Roger Bateman
Bob Atchison's drag racing career began in the 1950s with his street car before transitioning to a "Henry J" with an Oldsmobile engine. This ignited his passion, creating front-engine dragsters in the Nitro-burning Top Fuel class, racing across tracks across North America, from Ontario to Michigan. In 1964, he founded Atchison Machine Service, turning his passion into a business, and in the 70’s, he quit racing to focus on his family and his growing business. In 1995, Bob's son Rob joined the company and together they built Top Alcohol Funny Cars and a Pro Modified with a renowned Chevrolet-style power plant, achieving numerous milestones, including three consecutive IHRA Alcohol Funny Car Championships, 21 IHRA National Event Wins, and the first IHRA Alcohol Funny Car in the 5.60s. Bob’s legacy lives on through Atchison Machine Service Inc., which now occupies 4 buildings and performs machine work on all types of engines from single-cylinder engines to V/12 industrial motors.
Rob Atchison is a Canadian drag racing icon. He embarked on his illustrious career in 1994 with the family business, Atchison Machine Service. Teaming up with his father, Bob, Rob ventured into drag racing at 19, quickly becoming a force in the sport. Over 25 years, he achieved remarkable feats, becoming the winningest Canadian driver in IHRA history. Rob and his team competed in the IHRA Alcohol Funny Car class from 1999-2008 where he secured 3 consecutive IHRA Alcohol Funny Car Championships from 2003 to 2005 and won 21 National Events. His achievements include setting records, earning the title of 2003 IHRA Pro Driver of the Year, and being named the 2005 Canadian Drag Racer of the Year. Notably, he was the first IHRA Alcohol Funny Car driver to run a 5.6-second Elapsed Time. After a storied career, he retired in 2023, leaving behind a legacy of speed and success in the world of drag racing.
From 1964 to 1982, Roger Bateman made his mark as a skilled driver and owner, dominating the NHRA Gaser, Altered, and Super Comp categories. Throughout his career, Bateman clinched numerous championships, including the NHRA Division 6 TAFC Championship in 1998 and Division 5 TAFC Championships in 2008, 2009, and 2011. However, Bateman's skills weren't limited to the driver's seat; his expertise as a crew chief was equally celebrated. He guided successful racers such as Annie Whitley to victory, earning two Division championships and three National event wins. Notably, he was the Pro Sportsman Driver of the Year Award in three different years. Furthermore, Bateman's legacy is closely tied to his work with Bob and Pat Reynolds, spanning two decades in the TAFC Showdown. From 2004 to 2021, he continued to demonstrate his racing prowess as a Driver and Crew Chief for various Alcohol Race Teams in NHRA Divisions 5, 6, and 7.

Don Henderson
Wayne "Hub" Huber
Bruce A. Mehlenbacher
Don Henderson was a renowned figure in the 1960s racing scene, working as a lead line Mechanic at Brant County Ford, while his weekends were devoted to the Super Boss Dragway/Cayuga. A proficient mechanic, Don constructed his race cars from scratch, handling everything from engine building to suspension. Beyond Cayuga, he left his mark at Grand Bend, St Thomas, Deseronto, and Toronto International, even gaining attention at The Indy Nationals with his #14 production of the original 57-1966 Ford Factory lightweight Fairlane. He left Brant County Ford in 1970, and Don established Don Henderson Technical Services with Grace, producing top-notch engines and cars that set NHRA National Records and earned notable wins across Canada. In 1988, he acquired a different factory lightweight 1966 427 Fairlane, rekindling his passion for racing. He frequented local tracks and Ford meets until his passing in 1994. Known affectionately as "Donnie" to his closest friends, he was cherished by his family, respected in the racing community, and revered as a true gentleman from the Golden Age of Canadian drag racing.
Wayne "Hub" Huber was a car owner, builder, innovator, tuner, mentor, and historian in the sport. His lifelong passion began in the 1950s at Cayuga and St. Thomas drag strips, where he started racing his 1957 Ford Daily driver. He built his first race car from the ground up, naming it "Miss B Haven", a 1931 Ford coupe powered by a 1963 Buick Nailhead engine, demonstrating Hub's ingenuity. Alongside his friend Jack Hyde, Wayne won several Stock Eliminators across Southwestern Ontario with their A/Stock 1966 427 Biscayne, famously known as “Jack and the Green Stock”. From technical director at Grand Bend Dragway to spearheading a High-Performance Centre, Hub's expertise garnered widespread admiration. He even joined the Sandy Elliott race team as a Crew Chief, which was the first Canadian team to win a stock class at the 1968 Winternationals in California. In short, Wayne Huber was a great friend, husband and father, long admired as one of the few true pioneers of Canadian drag racing.
The Mehlenbacher family's drag racing journey began in 1948 when L. Bruce Mehlenbacher purchased land in Kohler, Ontario, initially for farming. Instead, the land was turned into a drag racing track and by 1955 it was officially fully operational. The facility received NASCAR and NHRA sanctioning, solidifying its prominence in Canadian drag racing. In the late '60s and early '70s, the track was leased and became one of Canada's premier drag racing venues and, in 1971, the first NHRA Division 1 Winston World Championship Series Event was held there. Shortly after, the Mehlenbacher family assumed full control. Dragway Park continued to grow, hosting NHRA class racing annually, attracting legendary names in the sport and winning numerous awards, including the NHRA Management Excellence Award in 1983 and Bruce A. Mehlenbacher was named NHRA Northeast Division Man of the Year in 1973. Although the Mehlenbacher family era of Dragway Park concluded in 1984, the track lives on as Toronto Motorsports Park.

Bruce F. Mehlenbacher
Tim Miller
Barry Paton
Bruce F. Mehlenbacher was born into the world of drag racing, serving as Track Manager at Dragway Park for a decade and managing Cayuga Speedway for eight years. After his family relinquished control of Dragway Park, Bruce co-founded Promark Motorsport International with John Massingbred in 1991, producing popular motorsport TV programs such as Raceline Motorsports Television on TSN. Later, Bruce joined the North American Adventure as a Production Executive, contributing to ATV Adventures Television and Off The Dock Boating Adventures. In the early 2000s, he even delved into roles such as public relations for Frank Kimmel, the most successful driver in ARCA history. Then, in 1998, Bruce founded JAJ Entertainment, a business specializing in independent consulting for motorsport and entertainment clients, a role he continues to manage today. He also initiated the Pro Modified Racing Association (PMRA), Quick 32 Sportsman Series, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series. To this day, he still directs these Series and is heavily involved in the world of drag racing, carrying on his family’s legacy.
Tim Miller, a seasoned drag racing journalist, began his career as a general reporter for various newspapers before assuming the editor's role at Wheelspin News in 1976. His early coverage encompassed prominent NHRA events like Columbus, and Gainesville, along with the local drag races such as the WCS meets at Dragway Park. Throughout his career, Miller contributed to various esteemed publications, including Inside Track Motorsport News, the Hamilton Spectator, the Toronto Star Wheels section and more. Notably, his written works extended to comprehensive projects such as a hardcover book dedicated to the sport's diverse dimensions, with a distinct emphasis on Canadian contributions, and a 208-page consumer book on drag racing. He was also the media director for the PMRA/Quick 32/PBSS starting from day one of the series in 2004 and for the 10 years that followed Tim is extremely passionate about the sport's community, which is why he has emphasized the stories of both emerging talents and trailblazing women racers, underlining their significant roles within the exhilarating world of drag racing in his work.
In Canadian drag racing, "Captain" Barry Paton is a legendary figure. His career spans from nitro-kart racing to Stock Cars, Nitro Funny Cars, and Top Fuel and throughout his career, he set several records and won countless trophies. For instance, while running the Nova in SS/IA trim, Barry obliterated the NHRA record of 11.08 with an unreal time of 10.83. But Barry’s career went beyond the driver's seat, as he was equally intrigued by the tuning challenges of drag racing. This led him to put his son, Todd, behind the wheel, while he tuned the dragster with the help of his younger son, Tony. Together, the Paton family clinched the IHRA World Championship in 1993, 1995, and 1996. Their Oldsmobile Achieva became the first alcohol funny car to break into the 5.70s at Indianapolis, with a historic U.S. Nationals win. The Paton Racing team continues to compete with their Top Fuel dragsters, continuing the legacy of “Captain” Barry Paton.

Carl Skura
Todd Paton was born into a racing family, as both his parents were involved in drag racing. After moving to the East Coast, Todd transitioned from playing with Hot Wheels to helping with his family's race cars. In 1991, Todd started driving the family's Alcohol Funny Car, achieving notable successes, including a win at the NHRA National Open in 1991 and the IHRA Alcohol Funny Car World Championship in 1993 and 1995. He also beat several world champions, such as Pat Austin and Randy Anderson, winning the U.S. Nationals in 1996. After stints with different teams, Todd and his family established their own team, continuing their involvement in NHRA's Top Fuel category. In 2019, he founded Performance Data Systems, a California-based company providing racing data acquisition systems and software. Despite the passing of his father Barry, Todd remains actively involved in Paton Racing. The team recently engaged in exhibition matches, showcasing exciting 300 mph runs, solidifying the Paton family's legacy in drag racing.
Between 1965 and 1972, Pat Reynolds was involved in NHRA Stock & Superstock as an Owner and Crew member, while also participating in Powder Puff Races. From 1969 to 1971, she competed in the NHRA Division 5 & 6 points races and local competitions in Calga Edmonton. Later, between 1976 and 1979, she transitioned to being an Owner and crew member of an NHRA Econo Funny Car. From 1983 to 2003, Pat's focus shifted to the highly competitive NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car category. She achieved notable milestones, including the 1998 NHRA Division 6 TAFC Championship, the 6-time Canadian NHRA Open Champion title, the 1989 Australia Funny Car Challenge and the 2-time AHRA World Champion position. Her enduring 20-year partnership with Bob Reynolds and Roger Bateman in the Top Alcohol Showdown Funny car symbolizes her shared passion and commitment to the sport.
Carl Skura made significant contributions to drag racing through his involvement in crafting and managing various drag cars, most notably the renowned 48 Fiat Topolino C/A, also known as Percy, sponsored by KARBELT Speed and Custom. Teaming up with his high school friend, Carl Rowland, Skura co-engineered Percy after recognizing the evolving demands of drag racing. They ordered the 48 Fiat Topolino from Andersons Industries in California circa 1963. The car, crafted in a Blake Street garage, saw Skura managing the engine and drive line while Rowland handled the chassis engineering. Percy swiftly rose to prominence, setting national records in NHRA, IHRA, and NASCAR, and became a formidable force in drag racing across Canada and the United States. Skura and Rowland's NHRA National Record at the 1966 US Nationals in Indianapolis highlighted their dominance.’ Their endeavours led to Percy's extensive coverage in various publications, advertisements, hotrod books, and more, underscoring their immense dedication and contributions to Canadian Drag Racing.

rowing up in southeast Texas, Colby Davis loved fast cars and racing and couldn’t wait to get his own car. With limited resources, he cut grass and saved $400, just enough to cover half of the 1972 V8 equipped Comet GT he wanted, and his parents kicked in the other $400. With a strong work ethic, Davis busted his butt to turn that 20-second ¼-mile dog into

After college, Colby headed straight for serving his country in the Army and eventually blew up the engine in the Comet and had to let it go. “I didn’t have enough money to repair it, so I sold it and that was one of my worst decisions ever…I should have kept that car!” Davis said.

They had experienced several fast sedans over the years, but in 2019 in Nashville, TN they found a 2019 Hellcat Charger with just seven miles on it. “We drove it home and Carrie said to me, ‘This is the first car that just wants to go faster and faster. You can,t argue with the success of the Charger Hellcat! There’s not many 4-door, or even two door cars for that matter, that can hang with them from the factory, let alone in this form. With a slight rake, the stance of this Charger is near perfect, but there’s no hiding those 315/60 rear buns, poking out ever so slightly from the rear wheelwells.
At their very first event, they won the 10.00 Index class and, despite not knowing how to bracket race, came second in King Of The Hill at the same event! “Now drag racing is boiling in my blood,” Colby explains. “I look at my wife and say we need more horsepower. She looks at me and says, ‘Oh no, here we go!’ That same year we raced thirty-five weekends; Grudge racing, index racing, run-whatcha brung events and showing up and crashing all types of events with a Charger Hellcat…just loving racing!”

And now, after such an amazing year, it was time for Davis to get serious. At today’s dragstrips you’ll find a sea of Fox Bodies, with more than you count being LS swapped, and seeing ported blower/nitrous Hellcat Challengers and Chargers is a close second. Colby and Carrie agreed; something different had to be done to get out front, and their solution? A twin-turbo setup, done without cutting up the body! A Hellcat comes with a 6.2 liter, or 376ci supercharged 717hp V8, impressive from the factory but slow out on the track compared to what gearheads do these days. Colby went all out on the new heart for the Mopar, partnering with Jake Sampson.

One of Colby's best memories with the Charger thus far has been his record pass, going 7.50 at 184, making it both the quickest and fastest Hellcat Charger there is! The build quality on this ’67 Camaro is top-shelf and starts with the body and paint, but what caught our attention was the quality of the total package and the amount of serious race parts packed into what Lokar Performance Products
looks like a show car at first glance. The body is mostly original steel with a composite cowl hood. The Candy Brandywine paint pops and original trim has been reinstalled with

great attention to detail, including those iconic hideaway headlights. This car is super straight and grabs your eyes like a magnet! The unrestored floor pans and original frame sections are exceptionally clean, too. Suspension wise, the car was converted to a 4-link coilover setup out back that suspends a fabricated Ford 9 inch rearend equipped with aftermarket axles, an Ultra case, spool and 4:11 gears.

As you can see, the install is arguably perfect, looking like it came from the factory with this turbo monster under the hood.

This thing speaks for itself! Motivating the Camaro is a built injected LSX 454-inch mill with monster 99mm turbocharger backed by a Turbo 400 transmission with Coan converter. Tony, who has raced Stock/ Super Stock and in the Factory Super Car classes says, “It hasn’t been to the track yet. I have been using it as a fun street car, but it is fast!”

■ ET & MPH: Not been on track to date. “I have been using it as a fun street car. But it is fast!”
■ Most Unique Feature(s): The paint color and quality of the job on this car attracts the most attention. The engine combination is the most unique feature to me.
■ Most Memorable Experience With The Car: This car has won at least one award at every car show it has attended, and it deserves to win. It is a special car! I enjoy watching people’s reaction to the car and seeing them enjoy it too. Plus, it is a true beast to drive. I always have fun going fast!

This interior screams musclecar and was meticulously restored during the build. Almost everything is or resembles factory original, including the pedals, steering wheel, door handles and window cranks, headliner and interior light! Of course, to control a big inch turbo monster like this, a certain level of technology and safety is required, evidenced by the Holley dash interface, Hurst shifter, race harnesses and cage.

Look close and you’ll even find the original door pillar and firewall tags on this hot rod! Tony’s passion for cars and racing started young and has continued to guide him through life and multiple businesses involving what was once just a hobby, including his latest venture. Recognizing the importance of a quality-built trailer as he travelled for racing and buying cars, he started Scott’s Trailer Sales, LLC in 2022 dealing only in two quality brands.
Check it out! This survivor body still has the original door pillar and firewall tags!

And that same year, Tony and his wife Laura had their daughter, Madison, who attended her first drag race at 2 months old. “She loves to visit her daddy at the shop and go for rides in his cars!” Tony added with a smile. “So you might just see her in a junior dragster in a few years…” The Camaro is basically built as a serious small tire race car, but sees most ac-
tion on the street, for now anyway, and Tony loves taking it to shows where it wins an award every time. “It has not been on the track yet. I have been using it as a fun street car, but it is fast!” Scott added. And there’s nothing wrong with a quick street car Tony, after all, that’s what started this outta control horsepower madness in the first place!
